Google image search isn't helpful either - combined or separated.

I'm really happy about it. It shows that everyone involved has a sense of humour and is easily able to poke fun at themselves. I respect them all even more than I did previously. I found the continual singing of John in the car very funny - and after hearing Peter talk about his grandson's interview about his favourite Doctor when he was down in Oz for the Lords of Time tour, I was really amused at the kids showing how happy they were he wasn't in the 50th

Sadly I've only run an online Faction Paradox campaign - online games for me generally have much more preparation than face-to-face. However, that being said, I'm hoping to do a normal game soon. And I will be making "base under siege" my standby filler - it will have some preparation behind it, more than the regular campaign. So if I get stumped as to where the players go next, or when they stumble into an area I have no idea about, I can default to a "base under siege". I view that particular trope as being fairly common to the Doctor Who style. Horror of Fang Rock, the Web of Fear, the Ark in Space etc - all examples of base under siege. On a side note, I will be using Realm Works to track this campaign and Obsidian Portal to organise the sessions.

I'm with the above.
I'd also add that Faction Paradox mythos pushes the envelope of metaphysics and high-mathemathical concepts well into the realm of Asimov's "sufficiently advanced, it may as well be magic". It's worth reading in that regard for the different ways you can use Timey Wimey in a game.
I'd also note that the majority of the protagonists in the setting don't know the science behind what they do - so approach it as though it were magic/supernatural. So in general the books read like fantasy/supernatural novels.

Classic comedy tropes (as in Shakespeare used them)-
Mistaken identity Male pretending to be female or female pretending to be male - and being put in awkward romantic positions Humourous names that everyone takes seriously Love spells Memory loss (after doing something embarrassing) Practical jokes

Good idea. I've got Rocket Age but haven't read it yet. I'm thinking of incorporating parts of it into a Who campaign.

I first saw him on Neverwhere, but remember him most from Children of Earth (rather than the Pompeii Who episode) - in Torchwood he really had great believability as his character, and great empathy.

While I'd like a female Doctor - I'm very much in favour of maintaining a male action hero that isn't violent. Just because he's the only one.
My money - what about Benedict Cumberbach?

More in keeping with Doctor Who I think is - any book published for DWAITAS by Cubicle 7 is canon - especially if rules vary in different books ;-p

I'd only expect balance if the game didn't allow players to run away

Balance is for players. If you're a GM only the story and player enjoyment matters.

Tom is a real character. If he wasn't an actor, he could do standup comedy for a living.

so, not something i worry about and frankly, wonder how much screen time will be devoted to the issue. Me either. I tend to not worry about any continuity in science fiction - and certainly not Doctor Who which by its very nature is predisposed towards retconning. They'll devote time to regen if it's plot relevant, or character relevant at the time. - so it depends who writes the ep.
