I'd allow it. This would represent an idiot-savante kind of character. A geek/nerd/fan who only knows their specialty subject without the underlying knowledge of education leading up to that subject. ie you may not know how football is played, but know all the scores for a particular team in a particular year.

What do you mean by generic? Do you mean a text only version without any theme? Or a character sheet usable in each of those settings without inferring any of them?

New idea - I've a concrete skull sitting around doing nothing - I'll do some latex casts and use them as pauldrons. I'll use the foam to help them keep the shape.

This is actually a Stunt in the FATE RPG as well - which makes me think that the other Stunts in that system may be worth looking at (it can be found for free here- fate-srd.com/)

The weapons factory should be mobile - a large Dalek ship of some sort. The nature of this war - because it's locked, I'd have everything happening within a limited area of space (say the Gallifreyan solar system). So limited area, and limited resources (maybe repurposed machines?)
Daleks have built Time Tunnels and TARDISes in the past, a Scoop wouldn't be out of their range.
Rassilon theoretically has unlimited regenerations...

Ideas for FP armour - The general cosplay posts folk have made about using latex pieces mounted on an undersuit for xenomorphs had me worried. A) the undersuit is stretchy and must be on a manequin when the latex is fitted and B) I'm using foam and not latex - foam isn't stretchy. Plus the undersuit has no textures and has bits added as needed all over. I think it would be quite labour-saving to use a base corduroy material to do much of the ribbing needed for joints. I've some old trousers I can cut up and paint (just need some fabric paint). Sadly I can't just use a jacket - because corduroy sleeves have vertical ribbing, and I need horizontal. Mostly just a placeholder post until I get it up and running. This is a project inspired by recent combat LARPing for The Hundred Swords and combines my Faction Paradox, re-enactment and Alien fandoms - the last mainly because there are no good bone armour designs out there, nothing as good as the Alien (I'm not that keen on the "official" illustration of FP armour in the Book of the War) This will be made from EVA closed cell foam, shaped with a heat gun, carved, coated with plasti-dip and painted. I've a retro motorbike helmet currently being shipped to cover that part There's lots of good tutorial videos on youtube for making foam cosplay armour (so check it out yourself, if you want to do any Doctor Who monster) Anyhow, I'll post progress pictures here as I go. I expect it will take months (so don't hold your breath)

If you want epic - I recommend the book Warlords of Utopia (a Faction Paradox book). Basically all the alternate timelines where Rome conquers the world end up fighting all the alternate timelines where Nazi Germany wins World War 2...

Psychic, psionic, psi - they're the Science Fiction jargon term for magic (which is why I don't allow it in hard SF games when I run them, just in rubbery space opera). Also in New Who, you can use Artron Energy as a catch-all for magic. Also in New Who - the Sonic Screwdriver is now a magic wand.
Classic Who was more of an educational show in nature, so science was more important (ie explaining the reasoning for something).

True - especially if you infer that the powers that be released the story that it was a steel pipe. Conspiracy theories are a great plot creator for Doctor Who.

Ah - that might explain it well. Plus their ability to suggest (as well as effective invisibility) gives them enough power to become corrupt.

Also - finally finding out where the Silence comes from, I can't justify the random killing in the women's toilet anymore. They shouldn't be evil - they should be driven to a particular religious goal with an obsessive compulsion (they are confessors after all - trying to stop the Doctor from bringing back Gallifrey)

The only caveat I'd have - is that it's temporary, rather than a permanent suggestion. The Silence seem to need to be present for continual suggestion (such as for Melody's orphanage) - and it could be a clue that it's the Silence rather than some other form of mind control.

I've both - so I'd be happy to answer questions on conversions. I'll probably buy the modules anyway - but I won't have time to do a read/conversion (I've not much time for roleplaying these times)

I think he's referring to GM fiat. It's an NPC - it doesn't need to use rules written in the book - just make it up and write it down as a reminder for your own continuity.

Similar to a Judoon - but without skills, with a natural weapon and a new trait for being able to charge someone. Actually, let me check my recently purchased Primeval books - bound to be a dinosaur that'd be just the thing. Here we go, based on the Woolly Rhino writeup on page 77 of the companion - Charge - does Strength damage on everyone it hits while running them over and may then Impale Impale - does Strength+2 to a single opponent Trample - does Strength damage to smaller creatures it runs over
It's Strength is 14

You've not got the Rocket Age equipment traits in there - although they don't have levels. I've also noticed that Rocket Age uses American spellings (e.g. armor)
