I've looked through both the First and Second Doctor books, and I'm curious about something; is Quadrigger Stoyn going to be included in this book, or in an update for one of the earlier ones? He first appeared in "The Beginning", then in "The Dying Light", and finally appears in "Luna Romana", and each time in a different state. I could try and do a write-up for him, if nobody else has started. Hi taikowolf - are you still planning on writing Quadrigger Stoyn up?

Link, please? I think I can take both Ghosts of Gralstead and The Devil's Armada. Between those and the already-submitted pair from Justice at Jalxar, I'd feel like I'd actually done something. I'd never formally committed, but yeah, I'll commit. The Third Doctor Expanded Universe Sourcebook is just too wonderful; I want to be a part of the Fourth's, even if only in a small way. Similarly, Polar Bear - are you still planning on covering The Ghosts of Gralstead and The Devil's Armada?

For my part, I think I'll take Foe from the Future - been meaning to listen to it again. (New update sometime next week!)

I said next week, but turns out it was ready THIS week.
So enjoy: MrHarry gives us Captain Edwin Turner, The Farrian, an extra page of for the Bah-Sokhar, Geralk and his robot, Vampire Mutations, White Ghosts, Ballustra, The Mariana Trench, Krelos and Synchronis.
For my part, I added: Jago and Litefoot, Hephastos (the Babblesphere) and the Kistador Molari.

I'm working on some Dark Shadows audios right now, but re-listening to these two for the purposes of statting is next on my list.

Working on next draft so I can help our artists pick the bits they want to illustrate etc. Here's what I think is missing as far as text goes :
Dr. Percival Ross (I haven't seen anything since first draft, Catsmate?) Strang The Crooked Man The Salonu Charlotte from the Village (mine to complete) The Pantophagen/Lord Jalnik (mine to complete) I'm also thinking of doing the future from Foe from the Future (so mine as well) Mordrega Gralstead The Vituperon (last time we spoke about these last three was a month ago to the day)
If I'm supposed to have any of these already in hand, let me know, it might have fallen through the cracks. If not, please give me an update, thanks!

A few minor corrections for Jago & Litefoot, "Talons" is set in 1892 not 1889 (Litefoot is seen reading a magazine from early 1892 in Episode 4, mentioned in the Production Subtitles of the DVD) and "legend of legerdemain (ie stage magic)" is more fitting for Chang not Jago, "exemplar of eloquence" might be a more apt attribution.

A few minor corrections for Jago & Litefoot, "Talons" is set in 1892 not 1889 (Litefoot is seen reading a magazine from early 1892 in Episode 4, mentioned in the Production Subtitles of the DVD) Despite this, most reference guides give a date of 1889 due to the conversation between Jago and Casey about Jack the Ripper - not particularly conclusive. I don't recall how clear the magazine cover date is on screen, but Talons also features a newspaper from 1977, so the validity of prop periodicals for dating purposes is open to debate. Personally, I tend to go with dating from Lance Parkin's Ahistory unless there's a clear reason not to. In this case, Lance goes with 1889 as there's a gap of several years between Talons and the Jago & Litefoot audios, which start in 1892 according to the Series 1 production notes.

Yes, AHistory is the final word on these things, I agree. The book always debates dates based on other evidence and comes up with the most likely. (Of course, Parkin smoothly avoids the UNIT dating quagmire.)

I've always put Talons in 1889, that seems to be the most commonly used date (despite the presence of 'A Bicycle Built for Two'). The BBC just state "between 1889 and 1901".

I've been a bit silent for the past couple months because of work pressures, but December is definitely when I expect the 4th book to be finalized.
So if you've declared yourself for text or art that has yet to be delivered, now's the time. I'd at least appreciate an update (and never be shy about bowing out, I'd rather know and make alternative plans than have to nag people as the "press" date bears down.
Thanks!

That's a picture of Isaac Asimov you've got up there not the Dr Asimoff you needed (and since the Zyglots only appeared in a Colin Baker story perhaps you should hold the good Dr Asimoff back until then, since there's a good picture of him on the cover of the Marvel Comics Collection "The Shape Shifter"). As for the inspiration for Prof. Challenger, that would be Henry Gordon Jago's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in "The Monstrous Menagerie".

I hadn't originally intended to include the Zyglot stats, but as the word-count for Ivan Asimoff was falling low I added them in (particularly as there's unlikely to be a separate entry for the Zyglots themselves). I'll leave it up to Siskoid to decide whether he wants to save Ivan Asimoff for the 6th Doctor book. The comment about the 4th Doctor vehemently denying that he was the inspiration for the character of Professor Challenger is lifted directly from the novel Evolution. I think it would spoil the joke slightly if we then add a comment that the real inspiration was somebody else. It may well be that we'll include a page for the slightly older Arthur Conan Doyle who met Jago & Litefoot when we get to the spin-offs volumes (currently scheduled to coincide with the 75th anniversary of Doctor Who ), and we can include some clarification in that as it will be more pertinent there.

Hey Harry, what's left that needs writing up for this volume? That's a question for Siskoid rather than me. So far as I know, all the stories have been allocated if not actually written. But if so,there's always the next book to start planning for.

I've been remiss in showing you the document because I wanted to put the gifted artwork in there, but here it is. drive.google.com/open?id=0B4RRnRNaDS5wSXphcUZ3OWFVN28What's missing: Various images still to add taken from internet sources and such, pagination and references, the Traits page, some additional text to fill blanks (adventure seeds), the stuff from Philip Hinchcliffe Presents, and bookmarks. That's all to come in the next two weeks.

Is this the right place for (possible) typos in the sourcebook?
Page 17: "With Sino assassins on the streets and women whisked away at whim". Should "Sino" be "Chinese"? It's rarely used as a noun, usually an an adjective.

Strictly speaking, "Sino" is being used as an adjective here - though it's more usually a prefix (Sino-Japanese, for example).

Page 87: Last paragraph, second last sentence "but these do comparatively little to.". There appears to be a word or phrase missing here. Page 96: There is an inconsistency spelling between the body text and stat block, "transmat discs" and "transmat disks"

Another one for the next addendum; Doctor Who and the Krikketmen, one of Douglas Adams' unmade Who scripts (that partially inspired the Key to Time arc and was made into a season/book of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) has been novelised by James Goss. I've skimmed it and it's not as bad as I expected though basically the same as the HHGttG book. DoctorIV and RomanaII search for the five pieces of the Wikkit Gate to prevent the destruction of the universe at the hands of the Krikketmen androids.
