I've not heard of eclipse before, I'll have to look it up. I find crunchy rules to be interesting reads and kinda quaint.

Heh.
I don't know if it is worth it though - because I don't know how you would implement those kinds of time-based weapons in the game. It's esoteric to the point of being a plot point, rather than equipment.

Great stuff- love it!
Although I don't know if it has been established - I've also been assuming that to obtain the rank of God Parent they've gone through the ritual shown in the radioplay of Movers - of murdering their female ancestors for a number of generations, cutting them off from the web of time.
Which effectively means that various time-based weapons will no longer work on them.

Excellent - thanks! I really should have asked before I did It's a step towards making a machine interface possible. My current plan is to modify the parsing formatter for part of the wiki to produce XML sheets. It's dependent on how C7 and the BBC want to handle fan websites as to when and how (and if) I set up a wiki for DWAITAS. I'd like to do something similar to my Hero Wiki

I've started converting character (I hope folk don't mind) and have put them up here- www.curufea.com/Wikka/wikka.php?wakka=DWsheetsThere's a few tweaks I'll be doing soon to fix formatting (ie removing dashes for traits with no description, and puting images on either the left or right column, incorporating Areas of Expertise correctly)

Okay, now done, but I may have to fiddle with it to have more error checking depending on what uses people put it too. <storypoints>12</storypoints> <background> <p>The Chavalier D'Eon was born in France in 1728. Over the years, he acted as a diplomat, a soldier, and a spy. He was well educated and eventually came to be a member of Le Secret du Roi
the King's personal secret espionage service, unknown even to the government. Legend has it he was sent to Russia in 1756 to meet with the Empress Elizabeth, where he stood as one of the maids of honor at her wedding!</p> <p>In 1763 he was named plenipotentary minister to England, and stood as France's interim ambassador until 1764 when a new ambassador was named. During this time he came into possession of secret documents outlining King Louis' plan for a potential invasion of England
something even his government ministers knew nothing about. The new ambassador coming in attempted to humiliate the Chevalier d'Eon rather than simply replacing him, prompting the Chevalier to publish all the secret documents he had regarding his recall. He retained the invasion documents and those pertaining to Le Secret du Roi as 'insurance'.</p> <p>This of course created a tremendous scandal, but the French government could do little except pay him off for his silence. He was granted a considerable annuity as a pension, and continued to act as a spy
but lived in London in exile. He remained there until King Louis XV's death in 1774, when he negotiated his return to France in exchange for his secret documents about le Secret du Roi.</p> <p>However, he also made the claim that he was not physically a man, but a woman, and demanded to be recognized as such by the court of Louis XVI. A betting pool about his gender was begun in London, but the King agreed to these terms on the condition that he dress appropriately in women's clothing. The Chevalier d'Eon agreed and lived out the rest of his life in women's clothing.</p>
<p>From that point, her fortunes declined somewhat. She requested to be allowed to join the War in America in 1777, to fight alongside the American rebels, and was denied. She returned to England in 1785. In 1792 she offered to train and lead a division of women soldiers again the Hapsburg enemies of France and was rebuffed. She was seriously wounded in a fencing tournament in 1796.</p> <p>She died in London in 1810. When doctors examined the body, the Chevalier D'Eon was discovered to be anatomically male. It is speculated that he may have suffered from a condition called Kallmann Syndrome, in which the body never enters puberty.</p> </background> <notes> <p>The Chevalier led such a colorful and exotic life that it would not be unusual to meet him in an aristocratic setting in the late 18th century, nearly anywhere in Europe. He has a sharp mind, and is cool under pressure, despite his eccentricities. He would make an excellent companion for a Time Lord, but would also be a useful ally in the given time frame.</p> <p>Le Chevalier d'Eon does appear in 2 audio adventures in the spin off series Faction Paradox. See 'Sabbath Dei' and 'In the Year of the Cat' for details

Although there may be problems if the hat goes into a TARDIS.
There were problems before when TARDIS enters another TARDIS - you get recursive regressions.

I think the Dalek in the new series episode of the same name was well on its way to becoming a pacifist.
There would be a lot of melodramatic angst involved in it - and all the other PCs in the group would have to continually stop it killing itself or going mad.

I was going to suggest delete myself I don't think he'd need to stick the wand in the hat. It can be a permanent link. However it should be limited or it would be too useful - say the hat must be held by the person using the wand.

Licensing does make me wonder about how fan created websites and resources are going to be handled.
I'd like to hear any official word on the matter. Presumably the folk at the BBC realised that fansites would be popping up for the RPG when they signed the license for C7?
My interest is in linking the official roleplaying game with unofficial, or no longer official derivative works (such as Faction Paradox).
Would a disclaimer on the site be acceptable? Something along the lines of "This is fan work, not endorsed by anyone who holds any of the rights, or the makers of the RPG"?

And call the alien stats chapter "Chap with wings, five rounds rapid!" ;D Oh dear god, please yes! If there's any justice in this world, they will call it that! Always loved that phrase, and I tended to use it in other roleplays (or plays on it, such as in Stargate with my British agent "Chap with the disk, five rounds rapid.", etc.) THE \/ince Sad to say, I've done the same. It's such a great line from such a great character! My wife still has on her email sig (and has done for years) -

That sounds really good! Another interesting twist you could have - although it is too early in their history for the technology yet - is specific regeneration.
Later on, they develop the ability to choose the traits of their next regeneration (usually it is chosen for them) - this is specific to the war in heaven alternate history of The Enemy however - where each regeneration becomes immune to whatever killed them in their previous life, and they end up being basically organic killing machines in the end.
However - they could have a secret trait or memory implanted when they regenerate which could give them clues as to their mission.

I'm not sure, you just need to boil it down to how it is actually used in episodes - rather than relying on how it is described to work.

It's probably just a localised transmat gun - storing instead of transmitting.
However, nothing stops the user from deleting the data.

I'd probably go by narrative order though.
NPC that isn't that important to the plot - likely to be icked first.
Companions and Time Lords - likely to move first.

When I have time - mostly it's a matter of decyphering the sites I got them from and searching the net - hopefully soon. (addendum, also a matter of installing an action in the wiki code to allow footnotes)

Just a heads up, I'm currently working on an XML version of the character sheet.
Primarily so a database of characters can be easily created and presented (and/or exported if a character designer is made).

Including the very simulationist Hero system, where skill = modified attribute + skill level - difficulty and you roll 3D6.
It may be an idea to modify DWAITIS to use 3D6 instead of 2D6 if GMs want more of a standardised bell curve for resolution results. Just add 3 or 4 to all difficulties

All you have to do is ask Sherlock Holmes to lend you a copy of the Necronomicon, where the location is written.
Mind you, you probably would need to be as fictional as all these things first.
