I really like the mechanics of the DWAITAS so far. Are there other systems, or a meta rpg system that support the same core?

DWAITAS is a new system, though the basic attr + skill + (traits/mods) + dice vs. difficulty number is a fairly well established overall mechanism shared - to one degree or another - by Cortex, Cinematic Unisystem, Ubiquity and many other systems.

Including the very simulationist Hero system, where skill = modified attribute + skill level - difficulty and you roll 3D6.
It may be an idea to modify DWAITIS to use 3D6 instead of 2D6 if GMs want more of a standardised bell curve for resolution results. Just add 3 or 4 to all difficulties
