Random Adventure Prompt (Rory's Story Cubes)

I picked up a set of the DW themed Rory's Story Cubes (see here)

So the instructions suggest using all nine dice and splitting them Into three each to come up with a beginning, middle and end. So:

Beginning...The Doctor's fob watch, Cleopatra, and a cult member.

Middle...a planet, a guard, and a vent.

Ending...an Aectic base, an Ice Warrior, and a sword in a stone.

And...go!

Hmm, OK.

1. The fob watch that the Doctor left behind (Human Nature) is discovered by a member of a cult dating back to ancient Egypt whose goal is to bask in the glory of Cleopatra (who was actually possessed by an immaterial alien but they don't know that). The watch still holds some of the Doctor's Artron energy and personality and provides limited psychic powers and a somewhat unreliable version of the Another Lifetime trait. The cultist quickly dominates the group, who have access to some odds-and-ends of Osirin technology left behind in Egypt and are seeking to create a time-gate to bring Cleopatra to the present.

2. After recovering the watch the PCs learn the details of the Sinister Plan and discover that the cultists need to travel to another planet (Mars) to recover the final items needed to construct a crude time corridor. Travelling there (TARDIS, other time machine, spaceship provided by UNIT/Torchwood/passing alien, Vortex Manipulator, Osiran transmat et cetera) the party must infiltrate an Osiran base (a pramid of course). This is complicated by the presence of a small group of Ice Warriors. Avoiding the Martians outside and entering the pyramid through a long disused vent they must overcome a guard outside the control centre and confront the cult.
However the cultists manage to escape via a transmat link to Earth (well some of them., the rest suffocate in the unbreathable Martian atmosphere, are killed by Ice Warriors or are messily dismembered by the Osiran transmat). The PCs cannot immediately follow as they have to prevent the corridor falling into the hands of the Ice Lord who plans to use it to areoform Earth.

3. Following the last signature of the transmat the PCs pursue the now diminished cultist group to Camp Century a long defunct Arctic base being redeveloped and cleaned up after decades abandoned. There the meet an international team reclaiming the base (and dealing with the garbage left behind in 1966). Matters are complicated by the presence of an Ice Warrior who made it through the transmat link before the PCs destroyed it and who's at home in the frigid conditions. In a final battle the Ice Warrior wields the sword of Tuburr and, missing a more agile human, leaves it embedded in a chunk of three-billion year old rock. Quietly recovering the anachronistic artefacts the party calling in UNIT to handle the clean-up, leaving instructions for the sword in a stone to be preserved for the future (and not taken to Paris).

Next step...combine the DW cubes with the Batman cubes and see what we can come up with...
