Hi,
Is there a website--or a place on this forum--where I could read reviews of Knight of the Comet, Ashes of the Daleks, Cat's Eye, The Ravens of Despair, Medicine Man, plus whatever adventures are in the Tenth Doctor Adventure Book, the Aliens and Creatures Box Set, and whatever ones I don't know about?

Fantastic! I found no review for Medicine Man, the UNIT ones, or, if there's a Time Travelers Guide adventure book, those ones. But you led me to everything else--many thanks! I'd be interested in your (that's plural) thoughts on any of the remaining modules.

I'd be interested in your (that's plural) thoughts on any of the remaining modules. There are no adventures in The Time Traveller's Companion (plenty of adventure seeds though) - but it is an excellent sourcebook, highly recommended! I've not run either of the adventures from the 10th Doctor Adventure Book, but there's a bit of discussion about them both in these threads: Which adventure will you run first?Judoom! Question [SPOILERS]Actually, Judoom! is another possibility you might want to consider for your first off-world adventure.

That's very useful, thanks, Misterharry. It's looking like:
YES - 10th Doctor Adeventure book (Judoom! sounds to be of particular interest, I agree!) YES - Cat's Eye NO - Medicine Man (I've got your Dying Earth adventure for a Silurian thing) NO - The Ravens of Despair (inappropriate for my kids' age range) MAYBE - Aliens & Creatures (I may try to pick up just the adventure book on eBay, since I don't want the resource book)
Can someone tell me more about the UNIT adventures?

Can someone tell me more about the UNIT adventures? Again, I've not actually run or played either of these, but I'll give you a quick description. There are two adventures in Defending the Earth (plus a number of adventure seeds) - MINOR SPOILERS FOLLOW: - Prisoner of the Slavers: Set in present-day England (but can be relocated) and designed for a UNIT team (as might be expected from this sourcebook). UNIT detects a strange signal coming from a small English town and sends the characters to investigate. This adventure does feature an alien race from the classic series, but it's one of the less well-known ones. The final part of the adventure is intended to use the supplement's Expanded Combat Rules, intended for use in more firearms-intensive games.
- Mind the Gap: Again set in present-day England and designed to be played by a UNIT team, this is a shorter adventure but one which is intended to kick off a campaign based around a UNIT Crash Team. UNIT investigates when a trainload of passengers goes missing on the London Underground. This adventure features a recurring monster from the TV show.

The UNIT book contains two fully developed adventures. I'll try and keep the spoilers to a minimum here, so with that in mind, the first, "Prison Of The Slavers" sees the UNIT team sent to investigate a temporal flux in the sleepy town of Wicksmouth. It does actually feature a race from the Classic Series, but not one you'd expect, and there are some minor horror aspects that you might not find appropriate for your kids (I guess you could always change these bits). Also, as a UNIT adventure, its resolution is most likely to end in a mass battle, so again, you might not find this appropriate. The second "Mind The Gap", is designed for a UNIT CRASH Team and involves their being sent into the London Underground to investigate strange goings on the Jubilee Line. Again, there are some mild horror aspects, but you could replace these easily enough without affecting the main plot, and there isn't the mass battle element present in the first adventure. The book also contains a number of adventure seeds for you to develop yourself. (EDIT: Oops. posted at the same time as misterharry... )

Thanks, both of you. You're right, the UNIT box set would be a "no."
The Aliens and Creatures adventures book looks to be unavailable on eBay, so at some point I'll either have to bite the bullet and buy it or ask for it for Father's Day.

There are also official and official-ish published adventures for the previous Doctor Who games, the FASA version and Time Lord. You'd need to convert the stats, but there are guidelines for that here and Time Lord in particular is pretty close to DWAITAS. The FASA adventures were released as standalone booklets like D&D adventures, and reflect the classic series by being longer, intended to run for a few sessions. List and potted descriptions here - many of the adventures were reviewed at the time in White Dwarf magazine back when it covered RPGs. They're sometimes available on eBay and Amazon. Time Lord, available here and reviewed here came with one adventure in print, The Templar Throne, and another in its updated free online version, Curse Of The Cyclops. (Warning: really loud TARDIS sound on homepage.) There's also Curse Of The Conqueror, originally published in another gaming magazine. And that's before you get on to unofficial adventures, or converting adventures for other RPGs...
