Okay so I wrote a story involving the Sea Devils, and I read the wikipedia article on them. My problem is I have no stats for them. I have the stats BadCatMan wrote for the Silurians, and I know theyre sort of the same species, but do they possess all the same abilities (aside from one race being aquatic)?
Thats really all I need to know, would they be the same ability wise.
::EDIT::
I'd still like an answer but its not so urgent anymore. My game got torpedoed tonight by snow.

The Sea Devils lack the third eye of the Silurians and all its abilities. The Sea Devils [especially in Warriors of the Deep] seem to be a bit more of a warrior race, or at least used as such.

To be honest, I've recently re-watched "Doctor Who and the Silurians" and "The Sea Devils", and I'm not so sure I agree with BCM about the way he's written up the third eye and all. That said, the Sea Devils are similar to the Silurians, except lack the third eye (so have none of its abilities). More importantly, they always came across to me in "The Sea Devils", and later on in "Warriors of the Deep", as more martial in style and form. "Warriors of the Deep" certainly enhanced this feel with its Japanese and samurai feel to it... Hope this helps.

There is a rumor that both silurians and sea Devils will be in the new series. If so, i wonder how much they will be changed.

Hullo, Kit, There is a rumor that both silurians and sea Devils will be in the new series. If so, i wonder how much they will be changed. One of the recent UK papers or tabloids or some such gave away the fact that the Silurians will be returning to the series in Matt Smith's first season. I remember seeing a photo posted of the new look, and I really disliked it. Might even be in one of the threads here.

There are reptilians in the trailer. Whether they ARE Silurians/Sea Devils, or just the basis for the rumor is anyone's guess at this point.
They could just as well be new aliens.

Silurian/Sea Devils/Warriors of the deep are different sects of the same race is how I understood the connection to be. Much like how Chinese/African/Caucasian are all still human. I've just started an adventure with the Silurians myself, but I wouldn't worry too much about stats differences between Silurians & Sea Devils, they're close enough for me and I'll be using BadCatMan's stats from here dwaitas.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=aliens&action=display&thread=347

The FASA game ( non canon in many ways) described the sea devils as more militaristic than their cousins with a greater reliance on machines and armour. Well: that's probably courtesy of Warriors of the Deep and the absence of the silurian's very handy third eye.
