Here’s what my site has to say about Omega…
Peylix the Gallifreyan is born – possibly around 200 years before his death. He will later be known as Omega the Greatest Hero Gallifrey ever produced. Omega and Rassilon will form and lead different Chaptershouses but Omega is Rassilon's cousin. By the time of the Doctor records will indicate that the Omega was an ancestor of the House of Lungbarrow.
While at the Academy, Paylix (Omega) hides a Warp Ellipse Field Generator in his desk - which gives him 3 years to complete a 3 hour examination. His teacher, Cardinal Louvis chooses not to punish him.
Paylix (aka Omega) later discovers that to make unlimited time travel possible a nearly endless power source will be needed. He develops the Genfranies (sp??) Theory of Temporal Aging based on a theory created by a lesser species. The theory states that time itself ages and becomes more curved. If one could control the oldest part of Time then one could control and map out all of history. He knows the oldest part of time is in the Sector of Forgotten Souls (probably where the Terminus Timestation is located) and believes that detonating a star in that sector would give the Gallifreyans control of History. The student Paylix turns in his Chronological Studies paper on the Genfranies (sp??) Theory of Temporal Aging into Cardinal Louvis. Louvis is so offended by Paylix ignoring his teachings and worried about how dangerous the theory is that he gives Palix the lowest possible grade ever given at the Academy - Omega. No one in the history of the Academy has ever scored this low and Palix goes from being a nobody to being famous for his score of Omega. Palix becomes known universally by the name Omega.
Long before she meets the Doctor, Patience meets Omega and they fall in love.
Omega discovers De-materialization Theory and learns to make Dematerialization Circuits using the steady state micro-welding technique developed by the Lamadines. Omega becomes a Time Plumber. His job might have been to remove temporal energy from the vortex tubes. The Temporal Scientist named Vanderkerian begins working with Omega. They become good friends.
102 years before the Eye of Harmony is created, the first Space-Time craft capable of carrying a Gallifreyan into the Vortex is constructed by Omega. Omega is the first Gallifreyan to survive the Space-Time Vortex. He begins an Odyssey through the Vortex. The Population III Q star Qqaba (also known as Jartus) is discovered by Omega in the Sector of Forgotten Soul (the area of Mutter's Spiral where the fabric of time is the oldest). This area is located 9.6 LY from Gallifrey in the constellation of Ao and will become known as the Sector of Forgotten Souls. Omega reconfigures the star to prevent its imminent death.
Patience's lover is hailed as a hero upon his return from the Odyssey. Omega marries Patience on the day of his return to Gallifrey. Despite just getting married, Patience's husband spends most of his time 'shaping a new future' for Gallifrey. Omega (like Rassilon) rebels in the name of science. Omega has at least one child who is probably an ancestor of the Doctor.
With Omega's support, Rassilon begins conducting preliminary research into mapping and controlling History. Omega begins calling Rassilon 'Rass.' Omega becomes the first Solar Engineer. He and future solar engineers will be scoffed at for their interest in providing for Gallifrey over exploring the Universe. Omega is also considered to be the first real scientist of the Gallifreyan people.
Rassilon decides to harness a singularity as a power source for Gallifreyan time travel. This would supply the Gallifreyans with power for centuries. Omega serves as his engineer for this mission. Despite not having developed a stellar manipulator, Rassilon takes a fleet of hundreds of Starkillers and tests his theory by exploding a device within a yellow star. This punched a hole in the Space-Time Vortex that served as a foundation for the star, creating a gap in history itself. Out of this gap the Vampire hoard emerges to swarm across the cosmos.
32.7 years before the Eye of Harmony is created, Rassilon, the Other, Lord Dowtroyal, General Gimel and the rest of Neo-Technologists start the Intuitive Revelation/Revolution. The Inquisitors begin rounding up everyone who doesn't believe in Rationality. Rassilon and Omega climb up something (probably a mountain - maybe Mount Cadon). They look down and watch as the west district of the Capitol (which includes the Academia) burn. Omega objects to the violence of the revolution. Despite this Omega becomes known as one of the 6 heroes of Gallifrey. The Gallifreyans build a statute of Omega in the great hall of the Academy. The statue is made of ebonite. While watching the construction of this statue Omega decides to shape the universe.
After the revolution Omega becomes Chief of the Scientific Fraternity at the Science Facility. Omega, Rassilon, and the Other create Validium as the Ultimate Defense for Gallifrey. Validium is living metal with DNA, that becomes sentient when it achieves critical mass (probably about 300 kg). Its sole function is to cause destruction however it also might also be able to turn items into water or other elements.
Omega, the first of the Solar Engineers, and Rassilon, begin developing a Stellar Manipulator that will be called the Hand of Omega. Their goal is to achieve time travel by using a singularity for a power source. The Starbreakers and Omegan Sunskipper ship classes are created. They use Vworp Drive for interstellar travel and fusion engines for sublight maneuvering. They have temporal grace circuits and dimensional stabilizers.
Rassilon and Omega seal all the dimensional holes that allowed the Yssgaroth to enter N-Space. In order to protect Gallifrey from Vampires, the solar engineer Omega constructed a new Second Sun, which he added to Gallifrey's system. This Second Sun is probably a small artificial one for Gallifrey is usually described as having only one sun. This occurs sometime after the Vampire King has fled N-Space.
Omega and the Other begin the final stages of constructing the prototype remote stellar manipulator in the year that Omega would be lost. It is called the Hand of Omega for political reasons and has the ability to customize stars. Rassilon, Omega, and the Other have a great deal of trouble with the prototype.
Sometime before the Quaba mission, Patience and the Other begin having an affair behind Omega's back.
At this point, ruling the High Council is the Triumvirate: Rassilon, Omega, and the Other. Rassilon and Omega are politically opposed. By this point Omega is probably well liked by the people of Gallifrey while Rassilon is probably hated. Omega is probably planning a democratic revolt against Rassilon and Rassilon is probably planning to kill him.
Omega (with Rassilon's help) finishes creating both of the Hands of Omega. These devices are the most powerful and sophisticated remote stellar manipulators that will ever be created. They are designed to customize stars. It can be considered alive and has the ability to fly under its own power and initiative. The Temporal Scientist Vanderkerian and Omega discover the secret of time travel (After Vanderkerian's death Rassilon takes credit for this discovery). Rassilon begins planning the details of the Qqaba mission. Omega begins to design the Eye of Harmony. He realizes that the energy of the Eye must be releases as an osmotic stream by shifting the Eye slightly into the future.
A little less then 24 years before the Eye of Harmony is created, the Fleet of StarBreakers and Sunskipper scouts leave Gallifrey for the Population III Q star named Quaba in what will be known as the Sector of Forgotten Souls. The flagship of the fleet is the Starbreaker Aeon. Omega's ships is the Starbreaker Eurydice. Only a handful of crew of these ships is over 10 years old, the rest are Newborn from the Looms. Qqaba is located 9.6 LY from Gallifrey in the constellation of Ao.
As part of the future Time War the Black Sun agent Fenris the Hellbringer arrives on the Aeon and sabotages all the Starbreaker's stasis halos to prevent the Gallifreyans from ever becoming the Lords of Time. Omega's assistant Vandekirian (probably operating on Rassilon's instructions) sabotages the Eurydice's fusion engines and is killed by Omega. According to the history books Omega cut off Vandekirian's hand and put it in the Stellar Manipulator, dubbing it the Hand of Omega. In reality he simply used the severed hand to activate the symbiotic key to launch the Hand of Omega. The Hand of Omega is used to destroy a star named Qqaba in a supernova which then collapse into a singularity. The collapse kills the Solarians who live on the surface of Qqaba. While Rassilon controls the power receiving mast the Eurydice leads the other Starbreakers move towards the singularity. The combination of Fenris's damage to the stasis halos and the Vandekirian's sabotage causes part of the Eurydice to break up and Omega to be sucked through what will become a black hole and into the universe of antimatter. The ship becomes trapped between 2 universes and appears in the middle of a field of temporal distortion every 100 years.
Rassilon repairs the stasis halos on the other Starbreakers in time to prevent their destruction. The survivors of the mission are bombarded with chronons from the destruction of Quaba. This Time Energy anointing makes them the first Lords of Time and one of the very few High Evolutionary species. Rassilon uses his new powers to pass a new Law of Physics which seals the naked singularity of Qqaba behind an event horizon. Thus the Time Lords invent the first Black Hole. The detonation creates the Veil Nebula. He stops irrationality from escaping and repealing the laws of physics. This detonation provides Time Lords with the initial power source for their experiments into Time Travel.
While Omega and his crew are presumed dead Omega actually survives by shear force of will (and a side effect of Rassilon creating new physical laws). Trapped in a universe of anti-matter, he discovers that using the power of the black hole's Singularity he can create what ever he wants using a process called Psychosynthesis. The loneliness and feelings of betrayal Omega feels drive him mad.
Patience sees the Starbreakers return from Quaba. Patience will go on to live in the House of Lungbarrow for countless generations. Rassilon constructs the Omega Memorial on top of the Citadel (tallest tower in the Capitol). He becomes known as Omega the Fallen and is considered to be great hero. The Feast of Omega is celebrated every year. Qqaba is renamed Omega's Black Star. Many regard the death of Omega as the point at which the new government starts to go bad.
A Fable about Paylix the Annoyingly Curious will become popular. However nobody knows that Paylix was in fact Omega. In the story Paylix wanted to know everything about everything. When he does learn everything about everything the whole universe stops and (in order to restart it) Paylix was exiled to another universe.
A little over 23 years after Omega’s apparent death, Rassilon travels to Omega's black hole (aka Qqaba) in the Sector of Forgotten Souls. He uses Amaranths and the Sash to enter Omega's Black Star. He then uses a dimensional rift to removes the black hole's nucleus and brings it to a micro-universe located under the Capitol's Panoptican (assembly hall). Once there it is named the Time-Sun. The Dimensional Rift remains in the Sector of Forgotten Souls in the center of massive amounts of dimensional instabilities. It still intermittently connects that region of space with the event horizon of the black hole. Thus the black hole can still be accessed every hundred years from this point.
Omega's Black Star (also know as the Time-Sun) is renamed Rassilon's Black Star by the Inner Council. Atron energy is measured in units called Omegas.
Over the millennia the Gallifreyans begin to view Rassilon and Omega as near mythical figures. The Watch on Gallifrey has special rules about four people who they are supposed to kill. This list includes Omega (if he should ever return) and the Doctor (but only if he takes certain actions). It is also likely that the Lord President knows that Omega might still be alive.
By the time of the Doctor most of the Time Lords the Doctor knows idolize Omega. The Doctor's grandfather worships Omega and writes many volumes on the subject of Omega. Professor Markal Suhzeun writes "Omega, the prodigal son."
The Hermit will tell the Doctor and the Masters stories of Omega, and Salyavin. Salyavin and Omega becomes the Doctor's heroes. While the Doctor is a student, Savar, a contemporary of the Doctor, and a friend of the Doctor's Father, begins working on a plan to rescue Omega.
With the support of Lady Zurvana, the current Chancellor, the historian Hedin, and, the Doctor's father, Savar's plan is put into action. Saver enters a black hole, faces Omega, and flees. The event drives him mad. 10 years later he is rescued and returned to Gallifrey.
The Doctor decides to live his life by Omega's values, which include using time travel to make the universe a better place. He believes one should always search for truth.
“The Three Doctors” story occurs (also known as the Omega Crisis). Under advice from Verdigris, Omega begins draining the cosmic energy from the Time Lords. Even the Matrix does not predict this attack. Omega sends a Time Bridge to Sol III and converts the Doctor (and his TARDIS) so that he can exist in both the matter and antimatter universes. Omega then attempts to return to the matter universe by persuading the Doctor to take his place but his plan is thwarted by the Doctor (with the help of his first and second incarnations). Omega is trapped in a crimson bubble of time and the black hole turns into a supernova that provides the Time Lords with yet another energy source.
Omega is no longer considered a hero by Gallifreyans. They now believe that he was always a dangerous lunatic. Loomlings in brainbuffing are told that if they don't do their homework Omega will come out of a black hole and turn them into antimatter.
400 years before the events of “The Infinity Doctors” the historian Hedin (son of Hedin) begins writing a biography on Omega.
The Time Lord Broadcaster and Professor of History, Whedol Ertikus, writes and publishes "Omega, the blackest star of them all". The book is released among the lesser species.
The children’s story “The Time Trap” takes place. Omega begins drawing tens of thousands of spaceships into his crimson bubble of time. He plans to use them to launch an attack on Gallifrey. K-9 Mark 1 stops Omega by destroying the crimson bubble of time.
Years before the events of the audio “Omega” The Time Lord Broadcaster and Historian Whedol Ertikus begins planning how to get on to Omega's ship, the Euridice.
Arc of Infinity: Omega attempts to create a matter based body for himself by forming a temporal bond with the Doctor. Doing this requires the power of the Matrix. The Doctor is chosen because he is the only suitable candidate. This is possibly due to him have Ancient Gallifreyan DNA but more likely due to the fact that he was conditioned to exist in both matter and antimatter universes in The Three Doctors. Hedin is killed and Omega's new body appears to be destroyed.
However, Omega's stolen body reforms and the Time Lord Broadcaster and Historian Whedol Ertikus (who is researching Omega actions in Amsterdam) accidently takes him to Alkonol where he meets and falls in love with Sentia. Because of the stolen biodata Omega is sharing his body with a replica of the Doctor's consciousness.
10,000 years after the Qqaba mission (from Omega's POV) the Big Finish audio “Omega” takes place. Omega's Starkiller appears for the 100th time. Omega uses it and the dimensional rift that's connected to Qqaba's event horizon to return to the universe of anti-matter.
The choose your own adventure story “Search for the Doctor” occurs. Omega has learned to project himself outside of the Black Hole and carry the Black Hole around within himself – contained. Earth’s Fusion Energy Research Network (FERN) Spacelab’s experiments into Antimatter attract Omega’s attention. He plans to use it to turn Earth into a mini-sun to power his attack on Gallifrey. He is defeated by the Doctor and Drax.
1000 years after Savar is rescued “The Infinity Doctors” Hedin finishes his 300 volume biography of Omega, that took him 400 years to write. Omega attempts to return but is defeated by the Doctor.
By the time of the Time War most Gallifreyans consider Omega to be a complete joke. However in hardliner military will still whip any general who takes his name in vain.
After the devastation of the Gallifrey, the remains of the Eye of Harmony might eventually become the Black Hole that Omega tries to return through in “The Three Doctors.”
