I've been asked if I can run an RPG for two people who have never played before. They are both DW fans so 2nd edition felt like an obvious choice. The only problem is that I'll have to do this remotely. I'm no technophobe but I always find Roll20 counterintuitive for anything beyond the basics. Has anyone already configured second edition character sheets for Roll20?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I started an online game in Roll20. To be honest I felt it was a waste of my time. The virtual tabletop grid is important for tactically oriented RPGs. The Doctor Who system is not really so dependent on character location on a map. In addition, the resource requirements and learning curve made Roll20 a real barrier for some of my players.
We eventually just ran the game in Discord. We talk in voice, have a dice rolling bot and use chat for written communication. It's worked great.

Fair enough. I use R20 for non tactical as a forum for chat, sharing documents, dice rolling etc. I've been using it for Castle Falkenstein since the early days of the pandemic, so there is a useful familiarity there.
As things stand, I *think* I have a fillable character sheet sorted, and one of my Falkenstein players has kindly written some simple macros so players each have their own little dice controls.
So things are hopefully moving forward. 😁

Reading back on this, I realize there's a strong vibe in my reply of "The way I gave is the only correct way to game." That was honestly not intended, but I apologize for coming off that way if I did. Anyway, I am glad you have a system that works for you!
In my experience, the DW RPG is enough of a niche system where I live that outside of a bigger metro area (or a preexisting group uncommonly game to try new stuff) running an online game is often a consideration. I'm sure there's no perfect way to do this and it's good to see a plurality of approaches.
