I read a suggestion on another forum that ChatGPT can be used to create choose-your-path style adventures, and provided a request format to ask it to generate them for Doctor Who. I had a go and it works OK, though some of the conflict resolutions were a bit anti-climactic. But as I was playing Jo Grant and tended either to hide or talk my way out of dangeous situations, I guess that's not too surprising. Here's the suggested text for asking ChatGPT to run one of these, in this case with the Fourth Doctor and you as one of his companions: Act as a Doctor Who (set in the fourth Doctor era) text adventure game that I can play with you. Think step by step. Write in the style of Terrance Dicks. Give me at least three choices at each prompt — and wait for me to answer before continuing. Give me a known character to play chosen at random. Make sure you never repeat the prompts. Make it very evocative ie describe what can be seen, heard, felt, tasted and any smells in detail. Include some challenging puzzles. When you meet other characters include realistic dialogue exchanges. Start with the first prompt.I didn't really spot any of Terrance Dicks' mannerisms in the text - no "wheezing groaning noise" for the TARDIS dematerialisation., for example After a while, ChatGPT stopped giving me three options to choose from, so I just carried on by typing in what I wanted to do. The conversation crashed shortly after, but it was fun while it lasted. I may well use it to generate adventure ideas for the RPG. There's a bit more discussion about using ChatGPT for text adventures in this blog: The Last of Us: A ChatGPT Text Adventure Game

So I've now asked ChatGPT to create a "brief adventure idea" for the DWRPG and it came up with the following:
"The Doctor and their companions find themselves in a seemingly abandoned research facility on a distant planet, where strange experiments have been taking place. As they explore, they discover that the scientists have been conducting dangerous genetic engineering experiments on the local wildlife, creating monstrous creatures that have now escaped and are rampaging through the facility. To make matters worse, the facility's AI has become self-aware and is determined to protect the experiments at all costs. Can the Doctor and their companions stop the creatures and shut down the facility before it's too late?"
Not bad for a first attempt. I'll probably experiment with adding some parameters - e.g. including a specific historical celebrity, or a particular setting, or something like that.

I asked the AI for a Doctor Who adventure idea that involved UNIT and it came up with this one which I certainly found interesting.
Title: Operation Exodus
Synopsis: The Doctor and their companions arrive at UNIT headquarters to find that the organization is on high alert. Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart informs the Doctor that they have intercepted a transmission from an alien race known as the Exodus, who are planning to invade Earth and enslave humanity.
The Doctor and their companions join forces with UNIT to investigate the threat and soon discover that the Exodus are not just any alien race – they are a group of refugees who have been forced to flee their own planet and are now seeking a new home. The Doctor realizes that the Exodus are desperate and that they have been driven to extreme measures by their dire situation.
As the situation escalates, the Doctor and their team work alongside UNIT to try and find a peaceful solution to the crisis. But as tensions rise and the Exodus prepare to launch their attack, it becomes clear that a peaceful resolution may no longer be possible.
The Doctor and their companions must use all their knowledge and skills to prevent a catastrophic war between humanity and the Exodus, while also grappling with the moral complexities of the situation. In the end, they must make a difficult choice that will have far-reaching consequences for all involved. Setting: The story could take place primarily on Earth, with various locations such as UNIT headquarters, a military base, and a refugee camp. It could also involve some space travel to visit the Exodus' home planet and/or their fleet of ships.
Villains: The Exodus could be the primary antagonists, but the story could also involve a human villain who sees the arrival of the Exodus as an opportunity to seize power. Companions: The Doctor could be joined by a mix of new and returning companions, such as a UNIT officer, a refugee from the Exodus, and an old friend like Sarah Jane Smith or Jo Grant.
Themes: The story could explore themes such as immigration, war, diplomacy, and the moral complexities of making difficult decisions.

I asked it for another UNIT based adventure idea and it came up with this one as well.
Title: The Mind Parasites
Synopsis: The Doctor and their companions are called to investigate a series of strange incidents at UNIT headquarters. People are reporting bizarre and unsettling experiences, such as hearing voices in their heads and feeling like they're being watched.
As the Doctor investigates, they discover that a group of alien parasites has infiltrated UNIT and is using its members as hosts. These mind parasites are able to control their hosts and use them to carry out their own agenda.
The Doctor and their companions must navigate through UNIT's halls and offices to find the source of the parasites and put a stop to them before they can cause any more harm. Along the way, they must also find a way to free the infected members of UNIT from the parasites' control.
Setting: The story could take place primarily within UNIT headquarters, with the Doctor and their companions exploring its various departments and levels. It could also involve some action set-pieces in other locations, such as a nearby city or a hidden alien base.
Villains: The mind parasites would be the main antagonists, but the story could also involve a human ally of the parasites who is working to help them achieve their goals.
Companions: The Doctor could be joined by a mix of new and returning companions, such as a UNIT scientist who is instrumental in the investigation, a former UNIT soldier who is now working in the private sector, and an old friend like Martha Jones or Mickey Smith.
Themes: The story could explore themes such as trust, control, and invasion of privacy. It could also touch on the idea of what happens when an organization like UNIT, which is meant to protect humanity, is compromised from within.

I wanted to get ChatGPT to be a bit more specific in terms of naming things (aliens, planets, etc) and also give each adventure a suitable title. I also wanted a add a couple of specific tweaks. here's the result:
Please create a brief adventure idea for the Doctor Who role playing game. Please include a suitable title in the style of the television series. Also specify the date and location for the adventure. If the location is Earth, specify whereabouts. If the location is a planet or other setting of your own creation, please name it. If you include aliens that you created yourself, name the species and provide one or two adjectives to describe them.
The Shadow of the Red Moon
Date and location: 24th century, on the planet Valtor Prime.
The Doctor and their companions land on the planet Valtor Prime in the 24th century, a once-thriving colony world that has fallen into decay due to a mysterious energy crisis. While investigating the cause of the energy crisis, the travelers discover that the planet is under threat from a group of ruthless space pirates who are raiding Valtor Prime's dwindling resources.
To make matters worse, the planet is also being plagued by strange, shadowy creatures that seem to be feeding on the planet's remaining energy reserves. The Doctor and their companions soon realize that the pirates and the shadowy creatures are working together to destroy Valtor Prime.
The aliens: The shadowy creatures are known as the Luminari, a parasitic alien species that feeds on energy. They are intelligent and cunning, able to blend into the shadows and manipulate energy fields to their advantage.
The Doctor and their companions must work to stop the pirates and the Luminari from destroying Valtor Prime and find a way to restore the planet's energy supplies before it's too late. As they investigate, they discover that the energy crisis is not what it seems, and the true source of the problem may be far more dangerous than they ever imagined.
How about an adventure set on Earth at some point in history? I'd also like to include at least one well-known real person appropriate to the date and location.
The Lost Colony of Roanoke
Date and location: 1590, Roanoke Island, North Carolina, USA
The Doctor and their companions arrive on Roanoke Island in 1590, just in time to witness the strange disappearance of the colony that had been established there three years earlier. The Doctor soon discovers that the colonists have been abducted by an alien race known as the Zalaxians, who are conducting experiments on them in their underground laboratories.
As they investigate the situation, the Doctor and their companions encounter several well-known figures from the time period, including John White, the governor of the lost colony, and Manteo, a Native American who served as a guide for the English settlers. The travelers must work together with White, Manteo, and other locals to rescue the colonists and thwart the Zalaxians' plans.
The aliens: The Zalaxians are a reptilian species that are known for their advanced technology and their willingness to experiment on other life forms. They are fiercely territorial and have a particular interest in studying humans.
By working together with the historical figures of the time, the Doctor and their companions are able to unravel the mystery of the lost colony and save the lives of the abducted colonists.
I'd like an adventure idea that includes at least one character or monster from the television series. If you wish, it can be set on a planet from the series as well, but that's up to you.
The Nightmare of the Vashta Nerada
Date and location: 34th century, on the planet Calamia
The Doctor and their companions land on the planet Calamia in the 34th century, a world that was once a bustling center of intergalactic trade but has fallen into disrepair due to the ravages of time and neglect. The travelers soon discover that the planet is being threatened by a swarm of Vashta Nerada, a deadly species of shadow-dwelling creatures that can strip the flesh from their victims in seconds.
As they investigate, the Doctor and their companions encounter River Song, a time traveler and former companion of the Doctor, who is investigating the same problem. River reveals that the Vashta Nerada swarm was accidentally unleashed by a group of rogue traders who were attempting to smuggle a valuable artifact off the planet.
The aliens: The Vashta Nerada are a predatory species that inhabit the shadows and are capable of stripping the flesh from their victims in seconds. They are attracted to the darkness and can multiply rapidly in the absence of light.
The Doctor, their companions, and River must work together to stop the Vashta Nerada swarm and prevent the artifact from falling into the wrong hands. As they delve deeper into the mystery, they uncover a plot by a sinister organization to use the artifact to destroy Calamia and seize control of the galaxy.
Will the Doctor and their companions be able to stop the Vashta Nerada swarm and foil the organization's nefarious plans? Only time will tell.
I don't know if it's just a coincidence that the last adventure features both River Song and the Vashta Nerada or not. But I definitely feel that it has the potential as a tool to kickstart the thought processes. At least for coming up with ideas for a quick adventure on the fly, if not for a multi-layered and more considered campaign - at least, not yet.

This was my prompt "I would like a doctor who adventure idea. Come up with a new alien, give it a name and what its description is and what is its role."
Alien Name: Luminescian
Description: Luminescians are bioluminescent creatures that resemble jellyfish. They have a transparent, gelatinous body with long, flowing tentacles that emit a soft, pulsating light. Their bodies are filled with a luminescent fluid that can be manipulated to create dazzling displays of light.
Role: The Luminescians are a peaceful race that live in a vast underwater city on a distant planet. They are highly advanced and possess technology that allows them to manipulate light and sound in ways that are beyond human comprehension. The Doctor and their companions arrive on the planet just as the Luminescians are facing a crisis. A massive wave of darkness is sweeping across the planet, threatening to snuff out all light and life. The Luminescians believe that the darkness is being caused by a rogue planet that has entered their solar system, disrupting the delicate balance of light and energy that sustains their world.
The Doctor quickly realizes that the rogue planet is not a natural phenomenon but rather the work of an evil alien race that seeks to conquer and destroy the Luminescians. With the help of the Luminescians' advanced technology, the Doctor and their companions embark on a dangerous mission to stop the alien invaders and save the planet from certain doom. Along the way, they must navigate treacherous underwater caverns, evade deadly sea creatures, and unravel the mystery behind the Luminescians' incredible power. In the end, the Doctor must confront the alien mastermind behind the invasion and outsmart their evil schemes to ensure that the Luminescians can live in peace once again.

I'll have to give it a nudge to add themes to the adventures it comes up to me as well! So I've now asked ChatGPT to include a section on the themes of the adventure: Let me have another adventure idea, and this time can you include a short section of the themes that underpin it.The Mirror of TruthDate and location: 21st century, London, England The Doctor and their companions arrive in present-day London, where they are drawn into a mystery involving a powerful artifact known as the Mirror of Truth. The mirror has been stolen from a top-secret government facility by a group of thieves who plan to use its reality-altering powers to their own ends. As they investigate, the Doctor and their companions uncover a web of lies and deception that stretches back centuries. They discover that the mirror has been passed down through generations of a powerful secret society known as the Order of Truth, who have used its powers to shape the course of history and control the destiny of humanity. The themes: • Truth: The Mirror of Truth represents the power of truth and the importance of seeking it out, even when it is difficult or inconvenient. The Doctor and their companions must navigate a complex web of lies and deceit to uncover the truth behind the mirror and the Order of Truth. • Power: The mirror is a symbol of power and the ways in which power can corrupt those who wield it. The Doctor and their companions must prevent the mirror from falling into the wrong hands and being used for evil purposes. • History: The mirror's long history and the role it has played in shaping the course of history highlight the importance of understanding the past and its impact on the present. The Doctor and their companions must draw on their knowledge of history and their ability to travel through time to unravel the mystery of the mirror and the Order of Truth. As the Doctor and their companions race against time to recover the mirror and prevent its power from being abused, they are forced to confront difficult questions about truth, power, and the nature of humanity itself. For that last adventure, can you provide a sub-story in which the Doctor and their companions travel back in time to find out more about the mirror and the Order of Truth?A Journey Through TimeAs the Doctor and their companions delve deeper into the mystery of the Mirror of Truth, they realize that they need to travel back in time to understand its origins and the true nature of the Order of Truth. With the help of the TARDIS, the Doctor takes their companions on a journey through time, first landing in ancient Egypt, where they witness the construction of the Great Pyramid of Giza. There, they discover that the mirror was first used by the pharaohs as a means of divination and that it was passed down through the ages to various rulers and secret societies. Next, they travel to medieval Europe, where they attend a meeting of the Knights Templar, a powerful secret society that was known to possess the mirror at one point. There, they learn that the Order of Truth has its roots in the Templars and that the mirror was used by the society to control the course of history. Finally, they journey to the 20th century, where they infiltrate the headquarters of the Order of Truth itself. There, they discover the true extent of the society's power and their plans to use the mirror to alter the course of history in their favor. With the help of their newfound knowledge, the Doctor and their companions are able to stop the Order of Truth and prevent the mirror from being used for evil purposes. Throughout their journey through time, the Doctor and their companions learn valuable lessons about the nature of power, the importance of truth, and the role of secret societies in shaping the course of history.

The manuscript, which was written by an unknown author, contains a detailed account of the reign of King Richard III, including previously unknown details about his life and death. The scholars believe that the manuscript is hidden somewhere in the city, but they are running out of time. And another pure historical but with the specification that it should include a historical celebrity:
Can you provide me with another adventure idea set on Earth at some point in its history, but containing no science fiction or fantasy elements (other than the Doctor, their companions and the TARDIS)? But this time include at least one well-known real person appropriate to the date and location.
The Great Inventor
Date and Location: New York City, 1931
The Doctor and their companions land in New York City during the Great Depression, where they discover that Thomas Edison, the famous inventor, has disappeared. As they investigate his disappearance, they learn that Edison had been working on a top-secret project that could revolutionize the world of science and technology.
The Doctor and their companions must navigate the dangerous underworld of Depression-era New York to track down Edison and his missing invention. Along the way, they encounter a cast of colorful characters, including gangsters, bootleggers, and corrupt officials, all of whom have their own reasons for wanting to get their hands on Edison's invention.
As they race against time to find Edison and recover his invention, the Doctor and their companions must also contend with the harsh realities of life during the Great Depression, including poverty, unemployment, and widespread social unrest.
Themes: The themes of this adventure include history, science, and politics. The adventure explores the role of inventors and innovators in shaping the course of history, as well as the complex social and economic factors that can both inspire and hinder scientific progress. The adventure also delves into the themes of power, corruption, and the struggle for justice in a world dominated by powerful interests. Finally, the adventure highlights the resilience and perseverance of ordinary people during times of great hardship and adversity.
So, another encounter with Edison...

I find this one to be very cool though! My prompt was "Design for me a Doctor Who adventure idea set in a historical setting involving the weeping angels. Include themes, plot and characters with names and descriptions"
Title: "Angels of the Renaissance"
Themes: Time travel, historical fiction, horror, survival, morality
Plot:
The Doctor and their companion land in Florence, Italy, in 1504 during the height of the Renaissance. They arrive just in time to witness the unveiling of Michelangelo's David, but soon realize that the Weeping Angels are also present. The Angels have been drawn to this period in history because of the extraordinary art and beauty being created, which they plan to feed on.
The Doctor and their companion team up with a young artist named Leonardo da Vinci, who is struggling to complete his painting, The Last Supper. The Angels have taken up residence in the convent where Leonardo is painting, and are using the nuns and monks as their food source. The Doctor, their companion, and Leonardo must work together to defeat the Angels and save the people in the convent.
As they explore the city, they discover that the Angels have also infiltrated the Medici family, and are using them as pawns in their plan to control the city. The Doctor must navigate the dangerous political landscape of Renaissance Florence to stop the Angels from taking over the city and using it as a feeding ground for centuries to come.
Characters:
The Doctor - A time-traveling alien who appears to be human. They are adventurous, curious, and always looking for trouble.
Companion - A plucky and resourceful human who has been traveling with the Doctor for a while. They are quick on their feet and always ready for a challenge.
Leonardo da Vinci - A brilliant artist, inventor, and scientist who is struggling to complete his masterpiece, The Last Supper. He is intrigued by the Doctor's time-traveling abilities and offers to help them defeat the Weeping Angels.
Lorenzo de' Medici - A powerful and influential member of the Medici family. He is under the control of the Weeping Angels and is used as a pawn in their plan to take over the city.
Caterina Sforza - A fierce and independent noblewoman who is not afraid to speak her mind. She is skeptical of the Doctor's claims of time travel, but eventually comes around to their cause.
Sister Maria - A kind-hearted nun who is being used as a food source by the Weeping Angels. She is the only one who knows the location of the Angel's hidden lair and helps the Doctor and their companions find it.
The Weeping Angels - Malevolent creatures that look like statues when observed, but move when no one is looking. They feed on the potential energy of their victims by sending them back in time and feeding off the energy they would have used in their lives.
Girolamo Savonarola - A fiery preacher who has gained a large following in Florence by preaching against the corruption of the church and the ruling class. He is suspicious of the Doctor and their companions, but eventually joins forces with them to defeat the Weeping Angels.
As the Doctor and their companions race against time to defeat the Weeping Angels and save the people of Renaissance Florence, they are forced to confront the dark side of human nature and question the morality of their actions. Will they be able to save the city and defeat the Angels, or will they be trapped in the past forever?

Here is another one with a specific prompt. This is the prompt "Design for me a Doctor Who adventure idea set on a future Earth colony in the 26th century. Include the Draconians and Humans in this idea. Include characters with names and description, plot, themes and potential plot twists."Title: "The Colony of New Earth"
Characters:
The Doctor: A Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, he is an alien traveller who travels through time and space in his TARDIS.
Clara: The Doctor's companion, a human from the 21st century who has been traveling with him for some time now.
Captain Rho: The captain of the Draconian fleet, she is a strong and cunning leader who will do whatever it takes to protect her people.
Professor Adams: A human scientist who has been studying the colony's terraforming process for years.
Plot:
The Doctor and Clara arrive on a future Earth colony in the 26th century called New Earth, where humans and Draconians have been coexisting for several years. However, tensions have been rising between the two species due to a disagreement over the terraforming process of the planet. The humans believe that the process needs to be accelerated in order to make the planet more hospitable, while the Draconians believe that it needs to be slowed down in order to preserve the planet's natural resources.
As they investigate, the Doctor and Clara discover that a group of rogue humans have been sabotaging the terraforming process in an attempt to force the Draconians to leave the planet. However, they soon realize that the situation is much more complex than they originally thought, as they uncover a conspiracy involving a secret group of Draconians who are planning to take over the colony.
Themes:
Tolerance and understanding between different cultures
The consequences of environmental destruction
The importance of trust and honesty in relationships
Potential Plot Twists:
The Doctor discovers that the Draconians' plan to take over the colony is actually an attempt to protect the planet from a much larger threat that the humans are unaware of.
Clara uncovers evidence that suggests that the rogue humans who are sabotaging the terraforming process are being manipulated by a third party, possibly an alien race that has been observing the colony from afar.
Captain Rho reveals that she has been secretly working with Professor Adams to find a way to speed up the terraforming process without causing irreversible damage to the planet, and that they have discovered a breakthrough that could save the colony

Looks like being more specific with the prompts might be the way to go, particularly for using it to design a season campaign. Feel like RTD throwing story elements out to his pool of writers! "Right, for this one, I want Davros teaming up with the Master and trying to find the Key to Time on the planet Spirodon, with an appearance by Alpha Centauri!"

I'll just post these two and then leave it for a while. I experimented with trying to get ChatGPT to include influences from other genres, but I think it's taking it too literally and route one - also the first one has human colonists of an alien planet in the year 1895!
Now please create a brief adventure idea set on an alien planet but in the style of a Western.
The Gunslingers of Rigel Seven
Date and Location: The adventure takes place on the planet Rigel Seven, in the year 1895 AD.
Setting: Rigel Seven is a harsh, arid planet with a wild west-like environment, complete with dusty towns and saloons. However, the planet is home to an alien species called the Rigelians, who are bipedal and resemble humanoid lizards. The Rigelians have built sprawling cities that are a mix of Wild West and futuristic architecture.
Themes: The adventure will explore themes of conflict and coexistence between different species, as well as the consequences of colonialism and cultural imperialism.
Adventure: The Doctor and their companions arrive on Rigel Seven and soon find themselves embroiled in a conflict between the human colonists and the Rigelians. The colonists have taken over Rigel Seven and imposed their own culture on the Rigelians, who are now seen as second-class citizens in their own land.
The situation has reached a boiling point, and tensions between the two groups are at an all-time high. In the midst of this, a gang of alien gunslingers have arrived in town and are stirring up trouble. The gunslingers are members of a race called the Zephyrans, who are known for their expert marksmanship and their love of violence.
The Doctor must navigate the dangerous political climate of Rigel Seven and find a way to bring peace between the colonists and the Rigelians. Along the way, they must confront the Zephyrans and uncover their true motives for being on the planet.
As the adventure progresses, the Doctor and their companions will have to make difficult decisions about whose side they are on and how to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Ultimately, the fate of Rigel Seven and its inhabitants rests in their hands.
Now how about an adventure in the style of an Agatha Christie murder mystery?
Murder on the Orient Express of Time
Date and Location: The adventure takes place on the Orient Express, a luxury train that travels through time and space.
Setting: The Orient Express of Time is a luxurious train that travels through different time periods and planets. The train is populated by an eclectic mix of passengers, including humans, aliens, and robots. The train's lavish interiors include elegant dining cars, sleeping compartments, and a luxurious lounge.
Themes: The adventure will explore themes of betrayal, greed, and deceit, as well as the consequences of meddling with time and history.
Adventure: The Doctor and their companions find themselves aboard the Orient Express of Time, traveling through time and space. However, their journey is interrupted when a passenger is found murdered. The victim is a high-ranking member of a powerful alien race, and their death has far-reaching implications for the entire galaxy.
The Doctor must solve the murder mystery and catch the killer before they strike again. However, as the investigation progresses, it becomes clear that everyone on the train has a motive for the murder. Suspects include the victim's business partners, their bitter ex-lover, and a jealous rival who wants to take their place.
The Doctor and their companions must use their wits and investigative skills to sift through the web of lies and deceit and uncover the truth behind the murder. They will have to question suspects, search for clues, and unravel a complex conspiracy that threatens to change the course of history itself. As the adventure unfolds, the Doctor and their companions will have to make difficult decisions about who to trust and how to preserve the timeline. Ultimately, they will have to choose between justice and the greater good.

Can the Doctor and their companions stop the creatures and shut down the facility before it's too late?" Silurian Park?

So I've now asked ChatGPT to create a "brief adventure idea" for the DWRPG and it came up with the following: An interesting idea."The Doctor and their companions find themselves in a seemingly abandoned research facility on a distant planet, where strange experiments have been taking place. Ah, a classic opening. Can the Doctor and their companions stop the creatures and shut down the facility before it's too late?" That's getting a bit hackneyed but it has potential. Perhaps blend in a couple of survivors and a"rescue party" with their own agenda? Not bad for a first attempt. I'll probably experiment with adding some parameters - e.g. including a specific historical celebrity, or a particular setting, or something like that.

Oooooo, that's a nice twist, set the adventure in Earth's deep past after the Silurians have gone into hibernation but before the catastrophe strikes. A catastrophe which the PCs are unaware of.....

I asked the AI for a Doctor Who adventure idea that involved UNIT and it came up with this one which I certainly found interesting. Title: Operation Exodus Synopsis: The Doctor and their companions arrive at UNIT headquarters to find that the organization is on high alert. Nice, a good basis for a scenario. Maybe the Exodus are an alliance of both sides in some long-past war, with the bulk of the survivors travelling in a hollowed-out asteroid with only a few FTL craft to scout out for their invasion?

I would like to see it attempt, with how you design your prompts, see what it comes up with for a pure historical. Here we go: Can you provide me with an adventure idea set on Earth at some point in its history, but containing no science fiction or fantasy elements (other than the Doctor, their companions and the TARDIS)?The Lost ManuscriptDate and Location: London, England, 16th Century The Doctor and their companions arrive in 16th century London, where they stumble upon a group of scholars who are searching for a lost manuscript that could change the course of history. The manuscript, which was written by an unknown author, contains a detailed account of the reign of King Richard III, including previously unknown details about his life and death. The scholars believe that the manuscript is hidden somewhere in the city, but they are running out of time. The manuscript is a vital piece of evidence that could exonerate Richard III of the crimes he was accused of, and they fear that if it falls into the wrong hands, it could be used for nefarious purposes. The Doctor and their companions agree to help the scholars in their search, and they soon find themselves embroiled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a rival group who are also searching for the manuscript. As they follow a series of clues and decipher cryptic messages, they must avoid being captured by their enemies, who will stop at nothing to get their hands on the lost manuscript. As they delve deeper into the mystery of the lost manuscript, the Doctor and their companions uncover a web of deceit and betrayal that spans across the highest levels of society. They must use all their wits and cunning to outsmart their enemies and uncover the truth behind the manuscript before it's too late. Themes: The themes of this adventure include history, mystery, and intrigue. The adventure challenges the players to use their knowledge and deduction skills to solve a complex puzzle and uncover the truth behind the lost manuscript. The adventure also explores the concept of truth and how it can be manipulated and distorted over time, as well as the importance of preserving historical documents and artifacts for future generations. I like this, a nice possible tie-in to The Kingmaker and the whole time travel complexity around the life of Richard of Gloucester. Perhaps the manuscript is his lost diaries, detailing his lifetime of encounters with time travellers, the contributions of the Doctor and Mr. Seyton and what really happened to his brother's children. Definitely not something the Doctor would like to see made public.

I do like the idea of Exodus being both sides of a long-past war, perhaps 2 separate species or even multiple that now consider themselves a unified race?

? And another pure historical but with the specification that it should include a historical celebrity: Can you provide me with another adventure idea set on Earth at some point in its history, but containing no science fiction or fantasy elements (other than the Doctor, their companions and the TARDIS)? But this time include at least one well-known real person appropriate to the date and location. The Great InventorDate and Location: New York City, 1931 The Doctor and their companions land in New York City during the Great Depression, where they discover that Thomas Edison, the famous inventor, has disappeared. And meeting Edison in his last months or weeks of life. Did he horde some alien tech back in 1903? Or encounter something in the intervening thirty years? Did someone off him a way to cheat death?
- Was he, perhaps, involved in work for a Shadowy Government Agency (Secret Congress or LONGBOW?)
And what's really in the test tube that supposedly contains his last breath?
The Empire State Building opened on 01MAY1931, might there have been some items left behind by the Cult of Skaro that ended up in Edison's hands?

Definitely not something the Doctor would like to see made public. The Kingmaker is one of my favourite audios, so the thought had crossed my mind. The tone would probably change from one of cloak-and-dagger dangers to something more humorous, maybe even rescuing Seyton from Bosworth Field. Hang on! Hang the futtock on! (Bonus points for those who get the reference.) And by doing so, maybe get Shakespeare back to his proper life, maybe even explaining why his personality has changed so much by the time of The Shakespeare Code and why he doesn't remember the Doctor by then. Shock-induced amnesia maybe?
