The Second Edition Starter Set is up for pre-order, with the pdf download available now: Doctor Who Roleplaying Game Second Edition - Starter SetIt includes a 48-page adventure book and a 65-page campaign book. There are a few other bits and pieces - reference sheets, pre-gen character sheets, tokens and, in the physical box-set, three dice - but the main contents are the two books. |

Nice. Just pre-ordered it, and looking through the contents now. I have to say, I was cool on the 2nd edition changes at first, but I'm starting to come around ...

Looks very good. Fun little intro to the whole thing, not relying on anyone playing the Doctor. Only thing that stopped me going for the physical release was the £9.50 postage. Far too steep for me and I thought C7 were a British company! Must be mistaken. Anyway, I'll grab this physically when it hits the shelves next year. Meanwhile... To the printer!

It's based in Ireland now. They are trading as an Irish company and are thus still in the EU.

Hmmm... My son is at uni in Belfast... Wonder what shipping would be to get it just across the border... But still, it costs me less to have stuff shipped from NobleKnight. |

But still, it costs me less to have stuff shipped from NobleKnight. Who do they use for shipping from the States to the UK? The reason I ask is that the cheapest rate that the HPLHS offer for shipping a DART CD to the UK is $16.69 from UPS. When I queried if there was a cheaper method, they said no. It seems that for some years now there hasn't been a surface mail option, which is what I used to use to make shipping more affordable - even at the cost of a lengthy wait. |

I've purchased a copy of the Starter Set for the second edition and am hoping to play it during the Christmas break. Has anyone played it, and if so, what were your thoughts on it?
