This friday 4th June Wibbly Wobbly Dicey Wicey will be recording an episode on Artificial Intelligence in your Doctor Who rpg - to that end we are compiling a list of AI in sci-fi fantasy to discuss.
We already have quite a good list but if anyone on here has any they can think of please post below and get a shout out on the pod.

I assume you mean SFFH in general, rather than specifically the Whoniverse? OK off the top of my head.
One trope that annoys me is an AI that tends to go haywire or megalomaniacal purely as a plot device. It's just silly.
Blake's Seven had three AIs with very different personalities: compare and contrast Zen, Orac and Slave.
HAL in 2001 is a bit hackneyed. I preferred the rogue AI Nightrider in the eponymous novel by David Mace. Demon 4 was a similar military AI that went rogue after a limited Third World War and needed to be 'talked down'. Of course one of the classics of such was War Games' WOPR. In the field of mobile war machines there are the classic Bolo and Ogres.
Don't get me started on Asimov; the robot stories were generally good but the whole 'Three Laws1' system was idiotic and poorly thought out.
Terry Pratchett created a rare fantasy computer AI in the form of the Unseen University's Hex. Vera, from the excellent Please Don't Tell My Parents I'm a Supervillain series is one interesting example, a robot that 'adopts' a ghost.
The excellent webcomic Questionable Content has a well-thought out and consistent AI background (in the alternate universe or Ten Minutes Into the Future mould) with AIs who are distinguishable people. In addition to Pintsize, Winslow and Mobo, there are May, Spooky Bot, Bubbles, Lemon, Corpse Witch, Station and Roko.
Hope this helps.
1. Or four, or five.....

More horror than fantasy, but when I think of rogue AI I tend to think of AM from Harlan Ellison’s excellent short story ‘I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream.’
More an intelligence guided by sheer hatred and cruelty than out of any sort of logic.

Oh yes! Which inspired some of the Infected ships from Virus era Traveller IIRR.
