Excellent. I was engrossed throughout and that twist at the end was truly unexpected. Great cliffhanger.

I'm still picking up pieces of my brain from that twist...

I won’t say anything specific until tomorrow, but overall I felt that this was a nice return to the Moffatt/Davies style of storytelling whilst still being its own thing. I’ll give my thoughts tomorrow, but I was pleasantly satisfied and then some.

A very promising opening episode for the series. The aliens are suitably, well, alien and seemingly unstoppable. And that twist. Too soon? Maybe. But it was a complete surprise and left me grinning!

I enjoyed it. As some have said, the twist was unexpected. I can't wait for part 2.

It was a little slow to start, but great once it got going. Loved the aliens. Loved the return to Moffat style stories. The Bond references annoyed me a bit, just because they seemed a little forced. Had they given the episode a less cheesy title and maybe played down the more obvious references, I'd have given it Great. As it stands, I'll give it a Good.

Looking at it now, I realize it also had a Third Doctor feel to it as well. But I’m partial to it since I like those old kind of Bond movies and the Kingsman series.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I didn't like it. Spoiler-free, not impressed with the Bond references - Laundry Files did it better. Insufficient story in the show area - too much padding. Guest stars were good, though they'd be good in almost anything. They're still writing The Doctor differently, and not just because it's a new actor in the role. Bradley Walsh, there as the "explain the science to the audience" character, was a highlight, though I almost snorted tea out of my nose when they got on the bikes and one of my kids yelled "Bring on the chase!"
Anyway. TLDR, didn't like it. And that twist ending? Don't think they've got the right man for the job. However, I didn't like episode 1 of Dracula and it redeemed itself completely with episode 2 (and a *HUGE* Inside Number 9 joke that took a long time to pay off)

I feel it started off slow, but when it got rolling it was amazing. The ending was amazing, totally didn't see it coming), I hope that they keep Moffat like stories.

Really good start to the season. Nice James Bond vibe which is unusual for the show. Enjoyable and entertaining. Interesting and unexpected twist.
I also found the writing to be much better as well compared to the previous season. Everyone was well written and everyone got some good screen time. A big improvement over last season.

Just watched it and not really a fan. I don't know what it was there's been spy episodes before, action episodes beforee but something in how this one came together just kept feeling off. A nagging sense of something wrong and I doubt it was the twist at the end (though I didn't like that either for reasons I can't go into due to spoilers) just the entire episode kept rubbing me wrong. Still I'll see where it goes.
Minor Spoiler. I did not like the TARDIS up on chocks as the doctor had all those wires out to drain the rainforest just seems to go against the whole concept of the outer shell if you can open it up like that.
