I've been watching season 11 of Red Dwarf and the Samsara episode would be a good little side adventure I think. Look up the episode for full details but as a summary.
While travelling the PC's receive a message from an escape pod saying "This is professor Barker of the deep space exploraation Samsarra it is vital that you . . ." then cuts off. Retrieval and investigation of the pod reveals that there were two people aboard both of whom are now dust but the ship Samsarra is lying on a nearby ocean planet.
Investigation of the ship finds the various crew have apparently died of a mixture of mysterious accidents and murder. Eventually they find the ship was powered by a Karma drive that rewards good behvaiour and punishes bad. Only this one due to sabotage by two crew members is reversed punishing good behaviour and reward bad. Every time the PC's are nice and helpful to each other bad things happen to them every time they are mean and cruel good things happen. So they have to get away while avoiding being honest, moral, kind, selfless, loyal and helpful or the ship will do the same to them.
