Coming Sunday, my group is going to welcome one or two new gamers to our ongoing campaign. I plan to start the 8th Doctor Sourcebook campaign, but I am doubtful that the first adventure, Down and Away Below, is very suitable for newbys - because of repeatedly being taken prisoner, the Tardis sinking into the sea, the upcoming demise of 5,000 people as a fixed point in time the characters can do nothing about, and so on.
Any recommendation which of the Doom of the Daleks adventures might be more suitable to complete roleplaying newbies (although they are very familiar with the Doctor Who universe)?

Off the top of my head, you should probably run nowhere. It's a sandbox adventure with an obvious mystery, plenty of chances to interact with NPCs, and all the other Doctor Who goodness we all know and love. I don't know if you're familiar with the concept of the Mario method, but it would be a good adventure to choose that would allow plenty of breathing room to get them used to the system.
You could always draw out the prologue or make your own adventure but I don't think that was what you were looking for. Point is my answer would be Nowhere.

That seems a sound advice.
Concerning doing my own adventure: I do that regularly, but this week I don't have enough time on hand for this, and I have been wanting to do the Doom of the Daleks for some time.
