Not such a strong episode as the series opener. I liked that the characters' experiences are having an impact on them and am intrigued by the robot. But the story was underwhelming and the special effect of the dragon was poor. The central characters remain (in most cases) interesting though.

In my day, we 'ad the Myrka, and we were grateful for it! Personally, I was impressed by it, but then, I am old enough to remember the Myrka. That aside, I'm pleased that they're giving some serious thought to the characters and not just making it "monster of the week". There's already a hint of an ongoing plotline with the robot and the Governors.

I had some big nitpicks with the opener but I thought the second episode built upon and improved. Time will tell if this is a great show but for the most part despite a few flaws it seems good.
The first episode seemed a bit clunky introducing things and I didn't care much for Rachael's fridgeing. I like the second episode because it started addressing that flaw and the subject of dealing with trauma. The thing with this series is that it shows a lot of promise even if it is a bit rough around the edges. I look forward to seeing if it transitions from being merely good to being great

After watching the second episode, I can say I'm impressed. Good writing, interesting themes, few cliches and none of the too-theatrical acting/direction that often affects BBC productions in this genre. It's looking very promising.

{Monty Python Four Yorkshireman Voice} The special effect of t'dragon were poor? You don't know you're born! In my day, we 'ad the Myrka, and we were grateful for it! The Myrka? You were lucky! When I were a lad, we had nothing but the Fungoids. But you try and tell the young people today that and they won't believe you! Actually, I think I was nitpicking. I've enjoyed both of the episodes so far - it's just that I enjoyed the first one more.

The tone seems a bit all over the place. I think with effects and storylines as cheesy as they are (the flashback to the tattoo's origins was like something straight out of Axe Cop), a bit more humour would be good. Still, really enjoyed it and thought it was a strong follow-up to the first episode. Looking forward to seeing how it all develops.

Not bad, better than the first episode. Though the characters are pretty uninteresting, except for Quill. I like her.Not such a strong episode as the series opener. You're right about the plotline, very Buffy.

Not sure where this show is pitching, audience-wise. Darker than Dr Who itself, yet the threats we're seeing would more than warrant the Doctor's intervention were this the main show. It's trying to be Angel to Dr Who's Buffy - darker, edgier, riskier... It's not going to be able to replace SJA but it's doing a better job than Torchwood as far as spin-off's go.
And yes... The Governers...
