Out of curiosity, will you shed any tears when she leaves?
So I've made a poll - click and vote!

I never liked Clara. Coleman has the acting range of a perky rock, she talks too fast and thinks it's clever, and she has no consistent story. She was a Moffat timey-wimey gimmick and sock-puppet that stuck around too long.

At this point, despite the volubility of the haters, it seems more people will miss her than will be glad to see her go. Glad I'm not in the minority after all.

As a companion I think she's all right. Not as good as the Ponds but not particularly annoying. I think the passion with which some "fans" dislike her is one of the most annoying internet circlejerks around.
That said, I won't be sad to see her go. Her story has run its course and she probably should have left at the end of the last season. Give her a nice send off and let's give someone new a chance.

That would be a lot of fun. I'm putting together a con game where you all play different versions of Clara. (luckily, Jenna Coleman has been in a fair few period dramas) The Doctor is trapped but allowed one companion to help him. So he cheats and brings a lot of Clara.

I voted "Not Bothered Either Way", which seems harsh in retrospect. I don't dislike Clara, but she doesn't feel like she's an iconic companion like Rose or Amy, and since the ending of the Impossible Girl and Danny Pink story arcs, she just seems a bit vanilla to me. I imagine her departure will be suitably emotional, but I'm also looking forward to her successor.

As with the question, "Who's your favourite Doctor?" I'm always more interested in who the next one will be. Rose irritated me no end, Martha was alright, Donna I could cheerfully slap (but that's more the actress than anything written for Donna specifically), the Ponds were great, and Clara should've left after her big reveal as every companion ever.

Can't be disposed of quick enough for my tastes. Not commenting on Coleman's ability as an actor Clara just had 4 big drawbacks that purely from personal taste ruined her as a character for me.
1) Lack of consistency she changed each season first she was the impossible girl who cropped up and died repeatedly then when that was resolved suddenly she was teaching at a school and then after Danny died (more on that in a moment) she was the doctor lite even taking over from him in some episodes. I just couldn't relate to a character who's personality underwent such massive shifts with no explanation. I don't know if she was a nanny in the first season or just helping out a friend but seriously she's there looking after the kids for an entire seasson then bam she's at coledale school in the second and we never have even a throw away line explaining the change.
2) General unpleasant character's. This is a more general gripe of mine with the last 3 seasons Capaldi's doctor is unpleasant, clara is unpleasant and Danny is unpeleasant (not always but a lot of the time). So the main thing I take away from these seasons is unplesant people snapping at each other with no one to offset and soothe the mood.
3) Shenanigans for the sake of plot with no justification. This cropped up a lot in these seasons where for the sake of cool they'd do something that completely contradicts things established elsewhere e.g love is a promise and even after his emotions are shut off Danny remains in control. I mean really how many Cybermen got coverted from people who were in love and then slaughtered/converted their loved ones? Its the entire point of the cyberconversion to remove emotions and free will. If you going to invalidate that for the sake of a plot at least give us an explanation even its a "I reveresed the polarity of the neutron flow on the control transmitter." rather than just a "I say so." piece of rubbish.
4) Mary Sueishness aside from the final massive screw up she really became more and more of a mary sue character who could do anything with amazing skill in a lot of episodes and that just bugged me.
Frankly if they'd just left her dead after the first seasons conclusion where she got scattered across time I'd have liked her a lot better. As it was like I said rather than remember the good episodes she just serves as a reminder of the problems with the last 3 seasons of doctor who. I don't need someone who cleans the doctors test tubes and praises him for how wonderful he is but I don't want another season of . . .
1) Danny snarks at Clara for lying to him. 2) Doctor snarks at Clara for lying to him. 3) Clara snarks at everyone for snarking at her for lying to them. 4) Missy shows up to kill a few people and snark at the rest. 5) Random school child shows up to snark at people for not behaving the way they think they should. 6) Recurring character snarks at Doctor and companion for what they did to them.
Really its all I remember from the last two seasons just random people snapping and snarling at each other.

i think companions should change when the doctor regenerate or soon after clare was good with matt smith he could keep up with her but capaldie not so much I must admit I was the other way around. With Smith she felt to me like a cut price Amy, and it felt very much that the Doctor would just rather have Amy back. After the mystery of the Impossible girl was solved she rather lost the point of being there. But I thought that with Capauldi she blossomed. They had a better rapport and she became the Clara we'd seen as Oswin and Victorian Clara. I really came to like her with Capauldi where with Smith I barely noticed her.
