Well, with Peter Capaldi's Doctor having been on our TV Screens for a while now, I think we'll hopefully be seeing a new version of DWAITAS for the Twelfth Doctor in the not-too-distant future.
In preparation for it, I have come up with some ideas for adventures with The Twelfth Doctor. Here are some of my outlines-
The Angelic Flight- The Twelfth Doctor takes the players to a special flight with Amelia Earhart. Unfortunately, another guest has arrived uninvited. Trapped onboard a plane already over the ocean, the Doctor and the players are all that stands between Amelia Earhart and the Weeping Angles.
The Dalek Virus- Remember all that stuff The Daleks had in Manhattan? Well, after keeping the materials in safe storage deep within the TARDIS ("Better to not leave stuff around for the human race to muck up"), a lone Dalek manages to get inside the TARDIS and steal some of the equipment. The Doctor and companions manage to track it down, but unfortunately arrive a bit too late about the time when The Dalek is preparing to release a virus that will turn humanity into Dalek Puppets. Compounding the matters is the fact that this is all going down during the Bubonic plague. Can the Doctor and companions save the day? And what of the people already suffering from the other plague?
Nightmare of the Axons (based on an idea from Peter Capaldi himself in an interview during the promotion of series 8)- The Axons return during the 1970's, and The Doctor must stop them once again. The problem is that they're in Hollywood and are blending in as props for a new Horror Movie. But how can a Horror Movie have predicted exactly what the Axons look like? And more importantly, why are the director and some of the other crew behaving strangely? It seems that another shape-shifting race may be involved, but what they get in return remains a mystery. Regardless, The Doctor and his companions have to find a way to shut this monster down before it can gain too much power.
Return to Telos (Based on another idea from Peter Capaldi in an interview for Series 8)- A distress beacon pulls The TARDIS to a familiar planet, but The Doctor can't exactly remember when he was last here ("Story of my life. Live for about 1,000 years or more, and you tend to forget what some planets look like."). As more rescue ships approach the planet, one of the companions is suddenly kidnapped by an unseen force. After some more investigation, The Doctor realizes this is in fact the planet Telos, the planet which holds the tomb of some original Cybermen before their later upgrades...and the Cybermen of Telos are rebuilding themselves for an invasion...
These are just some of my ideas for now. If you have any, feel free to leave them here.
