We've got the characters and TARDIS made for my group's first adventure. Three of the group (The ones who made their characters on the day.) already know each other, and the opening adventure is where they'll find the fourth guy.
The TARDIS has once again gotten the Faulty Chameleon Circuit flaw, however, I think we've come up with a nice take on it. Basically, the circuit SORT OF works, it's just that when the TARDIS materializes, it takes the shape of something that would have been useful in the previous adventure.
So, the current one involves the Scion of Galifrey wanting to relax after their adventure in Shogunate Japan with some video games. "Oh, but not just ANY old video games! I mean, the TARDIS computer can probably simulate every one ever made. No, there's only one proper way to enjoy them: In a 1980s video arcade!"
And so, a Shinto shrine appears in the midst of an arcade in 1986. Next adventure, they'll land on the surface of a strange new world in a Donkey Kong machine with an "Out of Order" sign on the screen.

Nice, I like it.
And of course if it lands somewhere between adventures, it can look like anything for maximum inconvenience.

That's very funny. Lots of comedic potential in that idea! Excellent. And, if you put your thinking cap on, it could also serve a more serious role in some adventures, allowing someone or something a glimpse of where and when the TARDIS team has been. That sort of glitch could prove to be a liability.

And if they fix it, perhaps when it fails again it starts imitating things from the next place it's going to go...

If I would have had my way, the TTC would have been a boxed set with a deck of damage cards in it that you could add to and get extra cards for. This would have been a perfect add on card. In a parallel universe, it was and you were credited with adding a damage result to the TTC Mobile App that never got made in this universe as well. Well done!
