Hi, I'm an old-time GM, but new to DWAiTS. I've roped my 4 oldest kids into this: - 16 yo boy playing 6th Doctor (in blue coat);
- 15 yo girl playing Frobisher;
- 13 yo boy playing original human PC, 1928 former gangster, now reformed; and
- 11 yo girl playing original human PC, 1974 14-yo girl w/insatiable curiosity.
I've already run Misterharry's "The Anti-Claus" with them successfully, and I know what their second adventure will be. For their third adventure, though, I'd like to take them off-world, either to a space station or another planet. I looked at the Dalek space station adventure that came with the 11th Doctor edition of DWAiTS, but it was just tonally inappropriate for the group of characters I've got. I need something more lighthearted, not something filled with corpses and 70-year-old madmen. I'd also like it to be something we can complete in a single session of ~2 hours. We're just not ready for a full campaign. Any suggestions?

How about knasser's The Great Fake Star Whale Egg Theft? knasser's DWAITAS filesOr starkllr's Death of the Astral Queen? Death of the Astral QueenThe latter's actually a sequel to an earlier adventure by starkllr ( Games of Chance), but can be run independently. Oh, and in case you're not already aware, the Earthbound Timelords publish the Diary of the Doctor Who Role-Playing Games, an irregular fanzine which is free to download from here: Diary of the Doctor Who Role-Playing GamesThere are several adventures in each issue - though you may need to add DWAITAS stats, as many of them are statless.

Great ideas! Thanks much!! I'd been planning on doing "Flux," going off-world, and then doing doing "Games of Chance," but with this opportunity, I may as well switch things around and do both of starkllr's adventures, just tweaking them a bit for humor, and then get back to "Flux." "Great Fake Star Whale" looks like a blast, too--no way I'm skipping that one!! And I've got to fit in your "...Moor" adventure, of course. This is fun!!

Okay, I'm going to be running "Games of Chance" tomorrow and its sequel, "Death of the Astral Queen," in two weeks. The player running the Doctor will be out next week, so I'm going to run "The Foot of Omega," the rather brilliant adventure set inside the TARDIS that turns the Doctor into an NPC, as an interlude. Not for now, but just for future reference, is anyone aware of any other modules set inside the TARDIS?

Not for now, but just for future reference, is anyone aware of any other modules set inside the TARDIS? Hmm, nothing springs to mind. But how about basing an adventure on No Place Like Home (the Big Finish DWM freebie from several years back)? I thought it was now freely available to download from BF's website, but I can't seem to find it so maybe it's been taken down. It could provide inspiration for a fairly straightforward and light-hearted adventure, suitable for a single gaming session, and all set on board the TARDIS.

Wouldn't work; most of the kids have heard that one. It happens to be my single favorite Davison audio adventure. Well, I'm slowly going through the fanzine issues; maybe I'll run into something there. I fell in love with Pirates of the Sky and The Little Lizard already. Thanks! --PB Not for now, but just for future reference, is anyone aware of any other modules set inside the TARDIS? Hmm, nothing springs to mind. But I wouldn't hold your breath just yet - it's probably a month or two away, even if I can find the time for it.

Not full-fledged adventures, but I came up with some plot hooks systems failing in the TARDIS here.

Polarbear, I'd love to know how "Games of a Chance" went - please give us a report!
I still have to write up "Blood and the Daleks" to share , and also "The Heirs of Tara" ...

Here it is, Starkllr! Thanks for the fun!! Incidentally, if I can unfry my MacBook Pro (Os X Mavericks didn't agree with it), I'll try to PM you the photo pack I created to go along with the adventure. It may be as long as a couple of weeks--or never, depending exactly how fried the Mac is. But yeah, we had a blast!

Not for now, but just for future reference, is anyone aware of any other modules set inside the TARDIS? "He11o," a module featured in issue two of The Diary of the Doctor Who Role-Playing Games, is set exclusively inside the TARDIS. It offers a relatively simple prompt for an adventure but a fun one, and one which can be creatively twisted or elaborated upon in all sorts of ways.
