I've been looking for the combat system for DW:AITAS, but I can't find them. Can anyone explain or give a link?

I've been looking for the combat system for DW:AITAS, but I can't find them. Can anyone explain or give a link? Combat in DWAITAS is handled as a conflict, so the rules are as set out on pages 42-44 of the GM's Guide (11th Doctor edition) for simple conflicts, or pages 45-53 (maybe a few more subsequent pages for related info) for extended conflicts. In the 10th Doctor edition, it's pages 39-48 or so.

I don't own the books. If I did, I wouldn't be asking...

Attribute + Skill + 2d6 roll Vs. Difficulty Number based on opposing values (target's attribtes + skill + modifiers).
Damage inflicted is based on your basic damage value of weapon or attack and on how well you rolled e.g. Rifle 6 [3 / 6 / 9].
The points of damage are subtracted directly from your attributes.
Some attacks are classed as Lethal [L] and kill outright.
Story Points can be spent to alter the outcome of combat, heal wounds or avoid them entirely.

Also, turn order is talkers first, then people who want to retreat, then people who want to perform an action, then people who want to fight.

I'd also point out that damage to attributes depends on the type of attack - physical attacks will damage your physical attributes.

Physical attacks may also damage your mental attributes, especially Resolve.

What if damage done to a particular PC or NPC exceeds the applicable attribute score? Start subtracting from another?

Damage of any sort can usually come from multiple attributes. For instance, getting shot in the arm can reduce your Coordination because it's harder to manipulate things, your Resolve because you're hesitant from the pain, and your Strength because you're weakened from pain and blood loss.
Exactly which attributes are reduced from damage are up to the referee, and should be determined by considering the situation in which the damage occurs. If a blow to the head it meant to knock someone out, rather than do serious harm, then reducing Awareness first would be most appropriate.
Once an attribute reaches zero, the character suffers from certain effects, detailed in the rules.
