I'm starting a Time War campaign where the Pcs will have to go through en episode from each Doctor's run but where events are wrong and have to be fixed Quantum Leap style. There will be a Pc playing the 9th doctor so atleast 1 player will know how things are "supposed" to play out.
My idea for Hartnell is to plop them into the Dalek Invasion of Earth but they find out that Dalek meddling has changed things where they are in an alternate reality that is the Peter Cushing movie version of events. So the Doctor and Susan are humans, not aliens. My idea is for the Pcs to eventually run into the Cushing Doctor dead and the 9th doctor and company will have to go through their own version of events to ensure the timeline gets back on track.
My question is: What clues should I have that the Pcs might notice clueing them in on the fact that this version of events is not quite right? I know the Doctor and Susan are human in the film version, Susan is played by a much younger actress, the Tardis interior is vastly different and the Daleks are more "technocolor". I wanted little things the players can notice leading up to the big reveal. Any ideas?

Some other changes I noted: 1. Ian has been replaced by the policeman Tom 2. Barbara has been replaced by Louise, the Doctor's niece 3. the Daleks have gas not energy weapons (at least personally, the ship still has lasers) 4. the Robomen look more like bikers than cyborgs 5. How the Doctor gets to the mine and who travels with whom is switched up a bit. 6. the Daleks don't have that monster guarding the mine at night anymore 7. the movie year is 2150. Hartnell in another episode said that Dalek Invasion was 2157.
