I ran across mention online to some Doctor Who unbound audio stories. Two of them, Sympathy for the Devil and Masters of War, feature an alternate 3rd Doctor voiced by David Warner.
For those of you who have listened to these, any suggestions on how to run these as adventures? It sounds like a great alternate future to play around in.
I just got the Unit hardback and I'm trying to piece together a campaign based around this. My idea right now is that this is a phase in the Time War. The Daleks have somehow manipulated events so that the 3rd Doctor arrives at the wrong time and this alternate timeline is created.

the audiobook goes into how the Earth's history might be changed had the Doctor not showed up when he did. I'm still working on the details of the alternate history in anticipation of the players many questions.
How do ya'll think the third Doctor's off-planet adventures might have gone differently? Or would they?

In the audios, the Warner Doctor isn't exiled, so his off-world adventures would not have been Time Lord missions. If you still go with the exile, except 20-30 years later, there's no reason for the adventures to be different EXCEPT that he wouldn't have the same companion with him. Take Jo out of Peladon, and you probably change events.

I got the impression listening to it yesterday that the Warner Doctor was in exile. He said that the Time Lords had limited the Tardis to travelling on Earth but no time travel. The Tardis doesn't get the ability to time travel back until after the nuke gives it a jolt at the very end of the story.
Did I miss something?

You're no doubt correct, I haven't listened to it in a long time.
