Has anyone used the game system for running games other than Doctor Who or Primeval (or Torchwood or UNIT, for that matter)? I'm talking about fantasy dungeon crawls, space opera, supers, pulp, etc.
There doesn't seem to be too much of that kind of discussion here.

I can see the system struggling with particularly high powered settings, like four-colour supers, but it should cope with most other settings. For four-colour I would tend to go with Wild Talents (also from Cubicle 7).

I have it on good authority that Battlefied Press are considering a pulp game using the system...

I proposed using the system for a Star Trek style sandbox game some time ago but nothing came of it. As the license has opened up, however, I know that there is something similar in the works.

Keeping the initiative system or adapting it to suit... "Command" goes first, then "Science", then "Security"?

With the UNIT PDF finally out, I have been working on giving Stargate Sg-1 a try. I have been tired of the D20 mania for the past two years.

Wouldn't it be perfect for running Shaun of the Dead or Spaced/Simon Pegg comedy generally?
Also, Sherlock or maybe Cthulhu stuff.

I've been playing around with some ideas for using it for a fantasy game. Mainly converting Savage Worlds.

With Defending the Earth out, I've been thinking about using the system for an XCom game. The players would have two sets of characters. For base-building, science, engineering stuff and when they go on mission, they'd play a team of soldiers. Hopefully, they won't get too attached to the mission team. Maybe lower the amount of story points? Using the archetypes in DtE, makes making a replacement character easy and quick.
