an idea i have been toying with based on never made 27 season
"When the original Doctor Who series was cancelled, some plans had been made for the following season. One story, provisionally titled Ice Time, was to feature Ice Warriors in 1960s London, and would have seen the departure of Ace to the Prydonian Academy to become a Time Lord "
it would start out in new york dec 25 1999 as we hear the sound of a tardis militarizing in fades a tardis in the form of pot a potty and out stapes. A woman dressed in a black dress and black hip boots she has back pack hanging off one shoulder. Just then a dalek screams out you are Ace you are an enemy of the daleks and you must be exterminated cue intro music.
some points to work on dose Ace,s tardis have a working chameleon circuit dose she still carry Nitro 9 with her is she still in her 1st life or has she already regenerated at lest once what are the Daleks/Davros doing in new york how to work in the dog kind who would be one of players and save Ace from the dalek what dose the inside of Ace,s tardis look like

The audio drama "Death Comes to Time" also has Ace becoming a Time Lord. However the Time Lords in that story have almost Guardian-level powers. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Comes_to_TimeI do like the opening scenes though, very scenery-chewing bad guy.

I love Death Comes to Time - some great ideas and a lovely soundtrack (lots of Wagner), plus Stephen Fry and the wondeful John Sessions! But yes, it does seem to sit outside established Who continuity.
Incidentally, Big Finish adapted some of the Season 27 scripts (including the Ice Warriors one, retitled Thin Ice) and released them last year in their Lost Stories range. They kind of side-stepped around the idea of Ace becoming a Time Lord though.
And in the Virgin novels, although she doesn't actually become a Time Lord, by the end of the range she's "Time's Vigilante", with a time-travelling motorbike. The books handle it better than it sounds!
My own imagination of how it might work is more along the lines of Death Comes to Time (and how Season 27 would possibly have panned out). Ace doesn't become a Time Lord genetically - she doesn't get the ability to regenerate, two hearts, etc. It's more a process of training and mental discipline, leading to a form of "enlightenment" in which the mind is opened, providing for psychic abilities being awakened and sensitivity to time travel being developed. This process of Time Lord training could actually form the basis of a season for a human player character, in which their adventures are all seen as part of the training, with the season finale being the final test.
Of course, there's nothing to stop you having Ace being physically transformed into a Time Lord - by introducing Gallifreyan DNA into her system in some way. It's just not how I would personally approach it.

A side note - ordinary Gallifreyans that aren't Time Lords also have two hearts.
