Tuesday night I started my first game, and about an hour after we'd created the characters we started...
35 years ago four buddies arranged a weekend away camping in Scarborough.
They didn't all arrive together two young 20 something lads got there before the other two, a man and a woman.
As they made there way up to the top of the camping field something happened their van suddenly came to a halt as though being hit, but with nothing around it, and then it started strange noises (the ones we would know a tardis makes during landing, suddenly changing to a take off type sound).
The two PC's found themselves awaking in hospital and wondering what this "thing" was at the side of the bed, a combines tv and phone, a colour tv at that, and the phone has know dialer, the nurses are dressed differently than usual, and the whole pace is a lot lighter.
After they have had there starts checked they are deemed fit for questioning by the detective who had been waiting outside, this is when our third PC enters the picture and asks them lots of confusing questions like what were they doing in a campervan that went missing 35 years ago, where did they steal it from.
Both the hospitalized PC's had an urge to get back to the campevan and tred to leave when their friends from 35 years ago, or an hour earlier depending how you see it, turn up.
Anyway, after a while they all get convinced that there would be something really interesting to see in the campervan and they all headed to the pound where the van was being held, on their way meeting up with a "geek" type of person (think of the lone gunmen from the X Files) and she was paranoid that Torchwood were hot on their tails and would soon be there to cover things up. The others weren't easily convinced but she was making so much racket they decided to taker her along just to keep her quiet.
The detective showed his badge and they were all let into the pound and went over to where the van was being kept and one by one stepped inside to find...that it was a lot bigger on the inside than they remembered, and there were lots of controls and stuff. It wasn't long before a couple of them wanted to know what all these controls did and before long they were off. During the flight some of them searched around and found a few gadgets like a "sonic screwdriver", "psychic paper", "super phone", "holo-torch" and some "psychic specs".
The sixth player wanted to know where his gadget was, I told him he had the tardis what more did he want ;D
Within seconds of them landing...the session ended so they haven't a clue where they are
