Forgive me if this has been asked before, but in the 11th Doctor edition I noticed the various pregenerated characters have what appear to be templates that confer benefits, e.g. +2 to dice rolls, like Military Operational Speciality for the UNIT soldier or Virtuoso for the rock star. As there isn't any reference to them in the rulebook, what exactly are they and how are they acquired? Are there any more of them somewhere?

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but in the 11th Doctor edition I noticed the various pregenerated characters have what appear to be templates that confer benefits, e.g. +2 to dice rolls, like Military Operational Speciality for the UNIT soldier or Virtuoso for the rock star. As there isn't any reference to them in the rulebook, what exactly are they and how are they acquired? Are there any more of them somewhere? They are not part of the game and are only fancy descriptions that allow new players to spend a left-over skill point for those characters. If you total the existing skill points on both those sheets they total 17 pts each. The 'Military Operational Speciality' for the UNIT soldier is a spare skill point which you can spend anywhere. Just a little bit of creative leeway for new players to add that last point where they want. The 'Virtuoso' for the rock star is a remaining skill point that is suggested to be used as an Area of Expertise for the Craft Skill. (Area of Expertise Player's Guide p.49; Gamemasters's Guide p.29)
