I'm creating a character who is a cyborg: specifically they have a malignant tumor, and now have to wear a healing suit that is constantly repairing their DNA. The healing suit has flight capabilities, is thick enough to be armor, and the character has modified part of it to act as a Taser.
Should this count as a gadget that has the following traits, or should the character themselves have those traits? Flight (Major) Armour (Minor) Natural Weapons (Minor 2)
Also, given that the character cannot survive without the body suit, would that give them Dependency (Major)?

Can anyone else use this armor if they put it on? Can the armor be made to do things beyond what it was designed for, with story points?
If yes, then it's certainly a gadget, and should be created and bought as such, and the character is not a cyborg.
If it's so closely tied to the character himself that it's useless without him, or completely passive, then it's just an aspect of the character as a cyborg.
I'd lean toward a cyborg to keep things simple.
Cyborg (Special, 1 CP): The character wears a suit that continuously heals his malignant tumor. Flight (Major): The healing suit enables the character to fly any height at 3×Coordination. Armour (Minor): The healing suit reduces the damage taken by the character by 5 points. Natural Weapons (Minor)—Electroshock: When the character touches a target, he can cause Stun damage. Dependency (Major): If they character is separated from the healing suit for X amount of time, he will die. Until then, he will suffer -4 to every action.

Great! Thanks for the help. While the armor can be made to do things beyond what it was designed for with story points, it cannot easily be removed. Since it was programmed to constantly repair the DNA of the character, a woman named Shana, by having her original DNA inputted into the suit's systems, in any other character it would cause severe damage, trying to "repair" their DNA by overwriting it with Shana's DNA, and so causing damage to them.

If the armor can do new things, use the character's own story points; don't give the armor separate story points, since it's not a gadget.

Yeah, good point about the story points. Also good point about how it should be only one Natural Weapon (Minor). Specifying the damage as electroshock makes sense, but beyond that, it will be the standard Fighting roll. Also, my group does Coordination+Fighting for claws and combat that just requires contact, rather than a blow with force behind it, so Shana will have a high Coordination.
