As someone who's been assisting with covering a lot of the Eighth Doctor material, I can reiterate what Misterharry just said. I can also whet your appetites by confirming that on top of Misterharry's entries from every single EDA novel (SO much amazing creative stuff there!) I've helped with covering for the comics; while Misterharry has covered the big ticket entries from them (Izzy, Destrii, it's version of the Master, etc) I'm rather proud to note that my own efforts have filled in the gaps, meaning that the sourcebook will have dozens of entries covering every single story from the Eighth Doctor's DWM run! (Well, discounting two or three one-shots that didn't have much material ) That’s really rather impressive. And just one more reason I’m looking forward to this sourcebook. Especially because I thought the Eighth Doctor’s DWM adventures had some of the more memorable villains and ideas in it. Also means I can finally insert the wonderfully wicked Count Jodfara into a campaign!

Sorry to ask this, but is volume 1 for the 8th Doctor still coming out? I'm just wondering since there hasn't been any activity on this or the audio era thread since November and September 2021 respectively. Fear ye not! The work of the EU project team is much like the paddling of a swan - there's not much going on above the waterline, but lots of activity below the surface! The entries for Volume 1 (novels) were completed some time ago, but real life has intervened to prevent the finalisation of this one so far. But never fear, it will be released in due course and is well worth the wait - look out for Faction Paradox, Sabbath, Fitz Kreiner, Compassion and much, much more. In the meantime, writing on Volume 2 (audios) continues apace - my estimate is that we're between a third and half the way through it. There's some great stuff in this one: Zagreus, the Eleven, Lucie Bleedin' Miller, Charley Pollard... In summary, any rumours of the death of the EU project are greatly exaggerated. I know this a bit late, but I do want to apologize for asking. I know these are fan projects, but I sometimes forget that real life issues can cause delays in these projects, much in the same way they do for a company produced product. I'm guessing this also the case for the third update to Dalek Empire Sourcebook, since Doctor Tor (according to a site that catalogs various TTRPG products, including fan produced material) works in the industry.

Hey, no need to apologise for expressing an interest in the progress of the project - it's always good to know that people are keen to see the next sourcebooks!
I can't speak for DoctorToc as his Dalek Empire Sourcebook sits outside the main EU project. But yes, it looks like he's been busy recently with professional writing work, both RPGs and fiction.

It is worth reiterating just how much material this book will include, covering so many full length novels, as well as a massive chunk of comic stories and a sprinkling of short stories/audios; even if a GM only used the smallest fraction of entries, they'd still have more than enough high-concept ideas to fuel months of sessions. Even though I've contributed to it, I feel just as much a fan excitedly waiting for it to come out! If you'll pardon the cheek, I think it's safe to say that McGann's absurdly expansive era *would* be where the project would need to have a little bit of a lie down to catch it's breath.

Hi! Wow! I came onto the forums to look for maps and instead I found... literally everything else! This community never ceases to amaze.
I have my own homebrews of the Remote, their receivers, and the quantum-tipped time bullets used by the Headhunter in the 8DA audios. I'm assuming you guys already have your own write-ups of these things, but on the off-chance they'd be of use to you I'd be happy to provide. I'm not sure what the forum policies are on a big 'ol wall of text, so I won't post them unless requested. But yeah! Let me know if this would help in any way!
This is really cool! Can't wait until the finished product is posted.

Can't wait until the finished product is posted. Thanks for your kind words and welcome to the forums! All the entries for Volume 1 (covering the EDA novels) have been written and submitted some time ago, including one for the Remote. I haven't written a separate entry for a Remote receiver as it seems to be a fairly straightforward gadget - it's included under Equipment in their stats block and has just a single trait, Transmit. However, if you think that's missing something or there needs to be a bit more to it, I'd be happy to see your version. But rather than add it and the Remote here, send me a PM - it keeps the thread tidier. The majority of entries for Volume 2 (covering the bulk of the audios set prior to the Time War) have also been written now, and the remainder (mainly from the Lucie Miller series) already have writers allocated. The Headhunter will be included in Vol 2. I think gavindowning is down to write an entry for her (presumably including her time bullets) but I don't know whether he's done that yet. Perhaps Gavin can provide an update when he spots this. Having said all that, we're always happy to have new contributors, it's just that entries for the next two sourcebooks are almost fully written. But if you're interested in joining us for any of the later sourcebooks (or addenda for any of the earlier ones), let us know!

I'm not trying to cause any stress, but is there a preliminary deadline for when Volume 1 is coming out? It's been so long since we had our (wonderful) EU Regeneration sourcebooks.
Friendly greetings, Horus Lupercal.

Thanks for the interest - it's always good to know people are enjoying these! As we're a very small team of fans writing in our spare time, we've never put deadlines on ourselves - it always has to be that each sourcebook is done when it's done. I know that all of us working on the project are disappointed that we haven't been able to produce a new sourcebook for so long, but it's not for a lack of wanting to. I'm hesitant to offer a guess at timescales at the moment, as work and other commitments have had a habit of getting in the way of our best intentions over the past couple of years. Maybe Siskoid can add something if he spots this, as he may have a clearer idea? Incidentally, I notice we've just passed the tenth anniversary of when the project was launched back in January 2013 - which is kind of mind-blowing!

It's a great work made of passion alright. We always knew that the 8th Doctor books would be the most major hurdle in the series just because of the MASSIVE number of EU stories involving him. The 9th Doctor EU sourcebook will be a breeze compared to that. Keep up the good work!
Friendly greetings, Horus Lupercal.

The good news is that I renewed all my computer equipment and it's made things much smoother. I not only expect Vol.1 to be out in April, but Vol.2 to also come out this year.
