But if we let facts get in the way of a good story there'd be no Daily Mail... I'm not arguing that there isn't a very good story in the idea's here, but why not transplant it onto an alien world? Add some spice to it. If it's the exact same incident some people may take the idea's of fantasy to far and assume that there is truth there. Knowing the truth a head of time prevents this.

Definitely a good call there. I'n just throwing out these nuggets of "real world news" for inspirational purposes. People can bend, fold and mutilate as they see fit I'm certainly not suggesting that they just replay these incidents as reported, just use them as a springboard to generate ideas of their own.
