I am thinking about starting an on line campaign based on the missing Torchwood (Branch 4). It would be centered on Bermuda with a time space rift located in the center of the Bermuda Triangle. This explains the numerous lost ships, planes, ghost ships, and other high strangeness associated with the region. Bermuda also being a British colony would put it under Torchwood jurisdiction.
I am also thinking about making its HQ a disabled and abandoned Tardis that was found in the Antarctic under a mile of ice in 1890's by a British exploration team. This Tardis was used to exile a renegade time lord and was disabled.
The Torchwood Team 4 was tinkering with it in order to fix it and dematerialized hence went missing.

The old one season US TV show 'Fantastic Journey' was set in a Bermuda triangle with riftlike phenomena and a character with a device not unlike a sonic screwdriver. That could be a place to look for ideas to rip off. Er, I mean adapt of course.

Thanks for the heads up about the TV series. I am going to netflix it.
While doing research on the Bermuda Triangle (working on a campaign guide in PDF format - hoping to get it done in 2 weeks) I came across a list of missing ships that inculded the following :
1938, March: 426-foot, 5,500 ton British freighter Anglo Australian bound from Cardiff, Wales, for British Columbia; 38 crew under Captain Parslow. Last reported herself off the Azores: “Passing Fayal this afternoon. All well.”
From Cardiff (Home of Torchwood 3) enroute Canada via Bermuda. I smell alien conspiracy here and it smells minty

I recently was reminded of an old made-for-TV movie on ABC in the 1970s called Satan's Triangle. Here are a few links: IMDB listingYoutube clip of the final scenesAn excellent synopsis/reviewIt's doubtful you'll find the movie anywhere online, but the links might provide inspiration for a first story. Also, since I am waxing 1970s-ish, the TV series Wonder Woman set the eponymous heroine's home of Paradise Island in the Bermuda Triangle too. And those Amazons had access to some paranormal tech that might also be inspirational for a hidden island in Caribbean. Watch episode one of season one and episode one of season two for examples.

It contains pt1 & bermuda fact sheet, time line, characters Charles Gaskell, Stephen Hawking and Julia Mc Williams (a.k.a Julia Child) Attachments:
