I first ran the introductory scenario "Arrowdown" with pregenerated characters The Doctor, Donna, Jack Harkness, Mickey and Martha.
Next, for my own campaign setting I borrowed the concept of Project Bluebox, an American covert organization detailed elsewhere on this forum that defends the Earth in the aftermath of the fall of the Torchwood Institute.
Cast of Characters (thus far):
Special Agent Stan Smith (NPC unabashedly lifted from Fox's American Dad!): Ultra Conservative, right wing, and at times stubborn and arrogant, Stan makes an excellent foil to play for laughs.
Morgan Blacke, aka Morgan the Magician: Besides having a public identity as a stage magician, Morgan is also a true telepth, and Project Bluebox's resident psychic.
James Stalking Bull: A student who was recruited by a Bluebox team off the street in the middle of a case, James' character could be summed up as a Native American James Dean whose motto is "don't trust the (White) Man.
Ian: Ian is an Internet Blogger who would probably get on well with Fox Mulder and the Lone Gunmen. Another recruit off the street, Ian good with computers and subterfuge.
Episodes so far
"Sprawl": Concept taken from the Adventure booklet. The character did pretty well, in this, the "Pilot" episode, convincing Unit on the one hand to hold off, and Sprawl on the other not to fight, but to withdraw and work with the city government on a plan of urban renewal.
"Another Night at the Museum: The team went undercover at a local museum to retrieve an alien atrifact. While there, they discovered that the artifact had actually taken control of some of the staff and students to build a radio transmitter, and foiled the plan.
