- Past Tense
- Den of Thieves
- The Orphan's Nightmare
- Cause & Effect
- An Unexpected Gift
- Fight or Flight
- The Pilgrim's Road

- The Graveyard of Time
* ideal for Victorian Christmas stories, especially if you get the reference Anyone want to throw some into the pot?

Hehehe. Maybe cheating, but I don't have good ideas for them yet. Your list sure seems like a good one to mine ideas though. Besides, I have time to work those out before the campaign actually starts. I will also likely be posting the story seed to 'Vitality' later on in the Story ideas thread.

I can't take credit for this - it was someone over on the Serenity RPG forums. Which, now I think about it, are an excellent model for this one - they're the unofficial fan forums for a game which has no official forum that I can think of. Anyway.
Grab an album off your shelf, look at the track names. There's your episode titles.
For example. 8 songs only, so might need a few extras in there (or "part 1" and "part 2):
Ozzy Osbourne, "Diary of a Madman":
1. Over the Mountain 2. Flying High Again 3. You Can't Kill Rock and Roll 4. Believer 5. Little Dolls 6. Tonight 7. S.A.T.O. (have to work the initials in, sort of YANA-esque) 8. Diary of a Madman
Alice Cooper's "Dirty Diamonds" works even better...
1 "Woman of Mass Distraction" 2 "Perfect" 3 "You Make Me Wanna" 4 "Dirty Diamonds" 5 "The Saga of Jesse Jane" 6 "Sunset Babies (All Got Rabies)" 7 "Pretty Ballerina" 8 "Run Down the Devil" 9 "Steal That Car" 10 "Six Hours" 11 "Your Own Worst Enemy" 12 "Zombie Dance"
I used the above for a planned Serenity campaign that never got off the ground. Six Hours and Your Own Worst Enemy would've been superb episodes. Ah, the games that never were.

Grab an album off your shelf, look at the track names. There's your episode titles. You know... I used this technique back when I was running the FASA version. I had a campaign based on Genesis' 'Trick of the Tail' album. As I recall, it featured an amnesiac Daemon, and there were Ogrons in there somewhere...

You can auto-generate a bunch on www.saberpunk.net/DoctorWho/DoctorWhoSerialGenerator.php; but you'll need to pick and choose. Probably not quite enough seeds behind the generator to keep up the variety. Still... if you're really struggling... The History of Doom The Carnival Whispers of Time The Impossible Keys Ice of Night The Faces Sound of Fear The Terrible Mist The Tenth Myth Doom of the Stones Riders of Madness The Reign of Time Time of the Master

Thanks for reminding me about that excellent tool. I just played with it and got one brimming with ideas: The Doomed Ragnarok A friend infected with a creeping nano-plague, growing more terrifying every moment. The Sacred Beast stalks those who blaspheme. A wondrous new technology achieves the impossible, but at a heavy cost. An abandoned ship.

I'm looking at doing a six story/adventure arc similar to the structure of a Classic Who season so there won't be a title for every game session/episode.
Working titles are:
Assignment: Monte Carlo The Jungles of Mars The Bride of Morbius Once upon a time Code Red The final hour

Why thank you.
The Hearth of Night originated as a reference to the White Wolf game Demon the fallen, my Character for a game I played in was Duke of the Alabaster Legion, Keeper of the Hearth of Night.
But noone ever explained what the Hearth of Night actually was.
For the episode title I was thinking of having the PC's arrive on a planet that spends half of its year in darkness, and half in light. The bell sounds as night approaches, and the technologically advanced indiginous population begin to act in a superstitious manner. They are preparing for the half a year of darkness by locking everything up. As night falls, a child is in the middle of the street and her family slam and seal the door, leaving her there for the nigh time...
There's more to it than that, like the "year" is actually only 24 hours, therefore a 12 hour darkness, but why is everyone so afraid?

Interesting thread. The campaign I'm putting together at the moment is for two players: a DC on detachment from Special Branch who is babysitting a doctor of xeno-technology under the auspices of the Home Office with a primary brief to locate and recover misappropriated or lost alien devices, but with a secondary brief for general investigation into related phenomena.
The idea is that the government is still stinging with the fall out from "The Children of Earth" affair, and wants to try and get a grip on the whole alien incursion thing while Torchwood gets back on its feet. Naturally, they also want to do it cheaply, so they send out this little team of two to gather up the pieces. The Home Office made sure they have UNIT on speed-dial, as this will apparently suffice to ensure their safety, before giving them their packed lunches, patting them on the head, and sending them on their way.
The dynamic is more like "The Eleventh Hour" than "Torchwood." The scientist being very good at what she does but barely knowing one end of a gun from the other, while her minder is thoroughly professional, but still doesn't entirely buy into the whole alien thing (this will be easier in my campaign than the TV continuity, as I'm removing a lot of the more overt stories like "Army of Ghosts/Doomsday," "Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords," and "Stolen Earth/Journey's End," and in my campaign's version of "Children of Earth" the 456 only communicated directly with governments).
Anyway, the episodes. Ten stories across thirteen episodes, all individually entitled, and the two-parters have an overall title too. The intention is that the end of the first session of the two parters will finish on a cliffhanger
1.) Professional Help 2.) A Simple Operation 3.) Consequences of Failure 4.) In Heaven and Earth - A.) Shades - B.) Nyctophobia 5.) Unmissable 6.) The Mind Hunter 7.) Flotsam and Jetsam - A.) Lost and Found - B.) The Rightful Owners 8.) Bonus Culture 9.) Green and Pleasant Land 10.) It's About Time - A.) Tempus Fugit - B.) Temps Perdu

My upcoming game is going to have some "could have been king" themes, as well as openings erupting between parallel worlds, in keeping with Rel Flexive's thoughts on things for my season finale. (I think that's keeping things vague enough, spoiler wise. ) Some titles along the way: The Ring of Fire (my Dominators story) The Byzantine Dilemma (adventure in Arthur's Universe, pre-"Battlefield") The Slender Man (stats already given in Write-Ups) Order of Birth The Mandate of Heaven (ancient China FTW) Legacy of the Time Lords Death of a Doctor I also looked into some old episodes of CBS Radio Mystery Theater and pulled the following two: Out Of The Past Between These Worlds I may go through my Old Time Radio collection for ideas for you good folks later; right now, I need to look at some sleep...
