Hi all. (I'm excited for this game, but don't yet have my copy). I've seen The Doctor's character sheet ( www.cubicle-7.com/DWDocCharSheetPreview.pdf), which is cool, but I want to NPC other incarnations. My questions: - Are there character sheets included for previous Doctors?
- Are there any resources at all for Classic era campaigns?
- If not, are there any plans for a Classic era or Timelord supplement which might include statistics for younger Doctors?
Thanks!

Thanks! 1. No 2. Not in the rulebook per se, no - but the rules are simple enough to extrapolate anything you need. And, of course, there's always this fine site 3. When the game was first announced it was stated that the game was only licensed for/covered 'Nu Who'. And, indeed, that's what you get with the box set. However, C7 have apparently done the deal whereby 'classic' material can be covered. Quite what they're going to do hasn't been announced yet. One of the C7 staffers at Dragonmeet said one of the ideas they had was a sourcebook per Doctor. Whether that's going to happen... Meanwhile, the 'Defending the Earth' UNIT supplement very definitely does cover some 'classic' stuff, as shown by having the remarkably young Brigadier Lethbridge Stuart on the cover. I'm sure more classic stuff will be forthcoming. Welcome to the site, btw. Hope you enjoy your visit ;D

Thanks for the info, and the welcome. I imagine I'm here for more than a visit. My daughter is totally psyched for this game, as is my little brother (both age 11) and my GF. Me, I was raised on a steady diet of Doctor Who and AD&D. I also have a twelve year old niece who plays D&D and likes Who.
Next time I'm at my hobby shop (picking up DW comics) I'm going to order the whole lot. I have a very good feeling about this game!
I'm glad to hear about the Classic stuff. I like new Who, but for my role playing world I want a Whoniverse with Gallifrey, the CIA, and a TARDIS that doesn't work very well. I plan to NPC The Doctor, but have the companions (players) mostly separated form him. I therefore want a somewhat antisocial Doctor like 1 or 6.
Cheers!

Hullo, Skagra, Welcome to the DW: AiTaS forums! Good to see a new face here, and hopefully we'll get to talk about all manner of stuff related to the game! Sorry to hear you don't have your copy of the game yet, but be patient. It's well worth the wait! [/li][li]Are there character sheets included for previous Doctors?
There are no character sheets for Doctors previous to the Tennant Doctor. At the time the game was licensed, it only covered New Who. That said I've done write-ups for the First, Second, and Third Doctors which you can find in the Characters section of the forums: Hartnell Doctor: dwaitas.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=characters&action=display&thread=338Troughton Doctor: dwaitas.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=characters&action=display&thread=502Pertwee Doctor: dwaitas.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=characters&action=display&thread=551I'm also working on the various companions, and only have Dodo, Ben, and Polly to finish up for the Hartnell Doctor. None of these stats are official, but I'm hoping that the folks at C7 might find them of some use when creating the characters for various supplements. [/li][li]Are there any resources at all for Classic era campaigns?
Not yet. Other than what folks have written and contributed in the Write-Ups section. That said, the UNIT boxed set is likely to have Classic era material, since Cubicle 7 can now do material for Classic Who as well. There is talk of doing Doctor sets or sourcebooks (Tom Baker's Doctor might require two! ), but that's still up in the air. [/li][li]If not, are there any plans for a Classic era or Timelord supplement which might include statistics for younger Doctors?
See above.

Sorry to hear you don't have your copy of the game yet, but be patient. It's well worth the wait! No sweat! I only heard about it a week or two ago. I'll be able to chat more about the game when I get my hands on th rules. There are no character sheets for Doctors previous to the Tennant Doctor. At the time the game was licensed, it only covered New Who. Strange there is no sheet for Eccleston. I love Eccleston. Cool, I might use these. I figure I'll run the included adventures to get me settled in, and when I'm to write my own stuff I'll have The Doctor abandon them (apparently to their doom) but only because he remembers meeting them there in a past incarnation. Maybe by then we'll have official source material, other wise I'll probably use yours (perhaps modified). I don't think I'll use companions. I intend to have the party all new characters as The Doctors only companions. I'll NPC The Doctor, but have them (mostly) always separated form him somehow.

Well, the folks around here are very good at answering questions and coming up with theories about stuff found in the game and on the series, so you'll be in good hands. Out of curiosity, where did you hear about the game? Strange there is no sheet for Eccleston. I love Eccleston. Actually, that was quite a puzzle to me as well, and some of the folks here. The best guess is that because Tennant was the Doctor at the time the game came out, perhaps the C7 folks decided to go with him in the books rather than Eccleston (since you'll note no photos of him either). Or it could have been a BBC thing, as part of the license perhaps.

Not necessarily an 'antisocial' Doctor, but the other stuff you're talking about running sounds like the game of Season 6B.
