excellent thanks! I am seriously tempted just to credit this as "written by the Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space forum", as all but the initial idea has come from here anyway. Allen

well, here it is. It undoubtably could use some work, tidying up and the like, but it is at least at first draft stage, Be nice...haven't done this for awhile I am very grateful to Trevellian for his help with this it's really as much his adventure as mine, probably more so. Thanks for Kaemaril for help with the last minute writer's block as well. Oh...and only 9 scenes and a Conclusion. Allen Oooh, nice. Want a cheapo logo? And yes, that IS a legal copy of Deviant Strain

Hullo, Allen, ran this tonight No plan survives contact with the player characters Allen Ain't it the truth? That said, spill the beans... what didn't go according to plan and all that? They stopped the Slitheen all by themselves. No Judoon, no Capone, no nothing Snuck in, got their techie guy aboard the ship, cross-circuited the thing so that when the Slitheen tried to fire off the drive they ejected the escape pods instead But the Slitheen never got that far...they pretty much massacred them. A bit more violent a solution than the adventure assumes but it did solve the problem and they were being attacked. Once they figured out how volatile the stuff was...and that there were barrels of it sitting around...that pretty much ended it. Still, the build-up was fun Allen

This is a perfect example of players not doing what the GM expects, huh? Still, sounds like all concerned had a great time. Well done, mate!

I have an idea swimming around in my brain for an adventure involving these elements: - The Doctor (or a PC Time Lord and his Companions) arriving in Chicago on February 15th, 1929, the day after the St. Valentines Day Massacre - Their arrival would be outside of the infamous "Al Capone's Vault" (see, Rivera, Geraldo and "biggest jokes in American television") which is really just a secret storage room for as-yet-unused bottles for illicit booze - A rival bootleg operation being run by a new and mysterious competitor who is making a new kind of "beer" that has all the pleasant effects of alcohol without the unpleasant ones...well, until people who drink too much of it start bursting into flames or melting into puddles of goo... - Those competitors are Slitheen... So now what I need is a plot I have an idea that the Time Lord initially gets mistaken for a fancy East Coast hit man and thus is "hired" by Capone to take out his new rivals...and then when he finds out what's really going on he will want to stop it. But he also has to deal with the general unpleasantness of Capone and his ilk, and the aftermath of the Massacre which could become a gang war..and maybe he gets to meet Eliot Ness too... Allen Sorry to revive this thread, but I am so glad we had the same idea, literally had an idea similar to this using the Slitheen and Al Capone and am glad someone has thought about it already beforehand.

Makes you wonder what the outer space equivalent of the Untouchables would be. No doubt Frobisher is a part of said team.

A bit like the Misfit Mob or the Night Watch? I'm thinking some Ogron muscle (and perhaps the Brains too), a pair of disgraced Adjudicators (one too honest, one too bigoted), a dodgy psychic, a partially converted Cyberman....
And, of course, as Dekker remarks (in Blood Harvest) the title "Untouchables" was originally ironic.

A good idea would be The Untouchables be a team of Shadow Proclamation agents would be a cool idea. You could do an adventure or short campaign based on that idea where the Shadow Proclamation and UNIT are compromised by some other force (either political or alien) and your PCs are the only ones unaffected or refusing to betray their principles.

I noticed the file is no longer on here. I'll see if I can find it and upload it again. It has been 14 years after all
