For all your horror needs in Doctor Who Started for a pulp dark superhero setting book for the Hero System (think Batman), but equally useful for any RPG- The Creepy HotelFeaturing 17 employees, 99 guests, 31 events and pests, 10 locations and many Disquieting Things That No One Talks About I've also written a random generator for it.Hmm - just noticed I need to fix the php for that

Nice work When I start getting a game going, sources like this will be very useful for giving plot ideas or easily set up locations (and if you spread the weird things out over different hotels, it could become quite the recurring theme - having players get into the habit of checking under their beds every time they stay somewhere, lol).

Also useful for other locations, such as space stations. The episode "Paradise Towers" comes to mind, and any episode written by Peter J. Hammond

Not bad, I can see my games possibly getting some mileage out of it.

Hammond Although much derided by a lot of fandom, Paradise Towers is one of my favourite Sylvester McCoy stories. I can't necessarily mount a highbrow intellectual defence of it, but I always enjoy it (and I think even some of it's detractors have at least saw some potential in it's ideas). I love Sapphire And Steel. A wonderfully creepy and atmospheric (if oft times impenetrable) series. Although I like to use humour, pop culture and a certain amount of cartoonishness in my stories and games, S&S is definitely an influence on the kind of locations, plots and more atmospheric side of things. A ghostly space station would be another perfect plot idea/location (and The Creepy Hotel just became even more helpful!).

I love the sort of offbeat, slightly quirky, slightly sinister sorts of characters of the sort that are in that list. Knowing my group though, they would take whats just a small quirk and turn it into something of tremendous importance, and focus entirely on that instead of the major threat.
That being said, I want to do a Sapphire and Steel style scenario, and might be able to draw some ideas from the Creepy Hotel... Thanks!
