Okay, I feel like I'm missing something here. Just where is the Master in the game books? For the life of me I can't find him. Were his stats for some reason not included, or is he merely cleverly hiding himself within the Matrix?

Hullo, Slant, Okay, I feel like I'm missing something here. Just where is the Master in the game books? For the life of me I can't find him. Were his stats for some reason not included, or is he merely cleverly hiding himself within the Matrix? The Master is not presented in the main rulebook box set. The chances are good, I would imagine, that we'll be seeing some sort of version of him in the Aliens and Adversaries boxed set, and I really hope that the Roger Delgado version is done up for the UNIT boxed set when that comes out.

John, I could not agree with you more mate!!! Yes give us Simms, yes give us Ainly, but please, please, please give us the one and only, the late, great Roger Delgado's Master. In fact, why are we even asking them??? Leave this to me... Ah hem... (clearing throat)... "You WILL give us Roger Delgado's version of The Master... I am The Master and you WILL obey me!!!" There, sorted. Well that is, of course, unless they happen to have a Black Belt in Venusian Aikido, or else they are somehow able to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow... Oh well, it was worth a shot.

Frankly, with all the various portrayers of the Master during the course of the series' various incarnations, Roger Delgado's portrayal of the Master is still the definitive one to me. So they better have him in the UNIT boxed set, or...or...we'll have to stat him out ourselves!!

[/quote] Yes they better had mate, or else they will experience at first hand the true power of the Tissue Compression Eliminator!!! Mwahahahaha... etc. etc. ;D As for his stats? Well... I think I had better leave that to you John. We both know that there would no way, in this or any other version of reality, that I would be able to stop myself from making me... er!?... I mean him INSANELY Powerful!!! ;D lol.

As for doing up the Master's stats for the Delgado incarnation, I think I'm going to wait on that until after the boxed set for UNIT comes and out and see whether he's in there or not (and I suspect that he will be). Even if I didn't want to wait, I'd do the stats for the Pertwee Doctor first, and then work the Master's stats comparatively from there.

You know, if he finetuned the Tissue Compression Eliminator he'd make a fortune on the diet market...

Its really the same reasoning I'm using with regards to the Forest of Cheem... I figure they'll be in the first aliens book. Why do the heavy lifting if someone is going to come along and do it for you?

Why do the heavy lifting if someone is going to come along and do it for you? That's certainly true to some degree. I mean, I've done the Hartnell and Troughton Doctors, but I figure that the Pertwee Doctor will be in the UNIT set (and maybe the official version of the Troughton Doctor, since he encountered them twice), as well as all three of his companions (Liz Shaw, Jo Grant, and Sarah Jane Smith). I've also been considering just going back and trying to do the stats for the rest of the Hartnell companions (Vicki, Steven Taylor, Dodo Chaplet, Ben Jackson, Polly, and maybe Katarina and Sarah Kingdom), since I figure that it may be a long time until a First Doctor official book or whatever comes out. I guess what I'm saying is that we need to stat out stuff we don't see coming out in product form for a long time.

This post on RPGnet may be of interest to those wondering about the Master. Given the poster, I think it's as close to a definitive answer as is possible.

Hullo, Al, This post on RPGnet may be of interest to those wondering about the Master. Given the poster, I think it's as close to a definitive answer as is possible. I saw that thread when I was surfing RPGnet the other day, but haven't had a chance to get to read all 52 (!!) pages of it. Glad to hear the Master will be in the UNIT book, and even better to hear about the Time Lord/Gallifrey book or whatever. Hope that means we'll see all the Doctors there.
