The English actor David Warner, notable to Doctor Who fans for playing Professor Grisenko in Cold War as well as numerous Big Finish roles, has died at the age of eighty.

What a tremendous pity. He was a fantastic actor and it was a joy to see him in anything. Also struck me outside of his work as a lovely man with a great, almost impish sense of humour.
And what a fantastic career he had even outside of Big Finish and Who. I’m particularly fond of his role as the villainous Doctor Klench in the radio series Nebulous as a good example.
RIP Mr Warner

Oh, Nebulous was fabulous! He's notable as one of the few actors to appear in 2 different productions of the same film - he's the erstwhile hero in one Titanic, and the evil butler (who I'm still convinced was a robot) in the Cameron Titanic. For me, though, he'll always be Evil from Time Bandits. 8 o'clock, day 1! Lasers! (zap, ouch, sorry!)

Another great actor gone to the theatre in the sky. Always enjoyed his roles. RIP.
