A thread idea very much stolen from soultaker666212’s Roald Dahl thread.
Robert Aickman. Probably not a name familiar to most of you. An accomplished writer who co founded the Inland Waterways Association, a group which has preserved from destruction and restored England's inland canal system.
Yet despite penning some of the finest short stories this green and pleasant land has ever produced, his works have remained in relative anonymity. Personally I think that’s a damn shame and I also think many of his works would make for the good basis of a few particularly haunting and strange Who adventures.
The strange place of “The Hospice” for instance could be a virtual reality or dream state which your PCs find themselves trapped in.

Thanks grinch, I was vaguely aware of Aickman but a little reading is indicated.

They’re really unlike anything else out there.
