I was rewatching the space and time mini-series where the TARDIS landed inside itself as the nearest safe place and they became trapped inside until a temporal implosion seperated the two preventing them being trapped forever. However it occured to me didn't compassion at some point enter her own control room and essentially travel inside herself? I don't know much about her so I may be mixing up her travelling in other TARDIS's. Now admitedly she was original a living being but it got me wondering since we know the Doctor's was obsolete when she stole him could a sufficiently advanced TARDIS safely exist in itself providing a short or long term utterly secure environment for her passengers/self? game terms it'd only be the most advanced model you can pick if that but still do people think its possible?

I’m not expert in temporal engineering (obviously) but I could see it being something done as a short term effect. Any longer and I think maybe it would end up collapsing in on itself.
Personally, I’d leave such an idea as an adventure idea or end of an adventure. Say some foe gets ahold of the TARDIS intending to use it for nefarious ends only for the Time Lord PC in a burst of inspiration and the expenditure of quite a few Story Points to trap the enemy and itself within the now endlessly repeating TARDIS. Both of them now trapped for the foreseeable future.
Would make for a good start for an earthbound campaign now that I think about it. With your PCS trying to find a way to restore the TARDIS while having to communicate the Time Lord who is still stuck within their ship via some transmitter he has rigged up.

My take would be "sure why not". The nature of a TARDIS has never been firmly established in canon, and the deutero-canonical accounts are contradictory. If we take it to be a small1, artificially created, pocket universe embedded in an "outer plasmic shell" that can be extruded and intruded as needed, then I'd say yes, one could 'materialise' (extrude it's outer shell and Real World Interface2) one TARDIS inside another in a stable manner. Though, as you say, it might not be stable for less sophisticated models3.
As grinch says, a few skill rolls and SPs when the circumstances are dramatically appropriate. And a supplementary adventure to fix everything afterwards....
And didn't the Master keep a spare TARDIS parked inside his main one?
1. For certain values of "small". One star system is 'small' compared to a galactic super-cluster.
2. Ah the old FASA game.
3. It might he easier for the very early models before certain safeguards were implemented. And perhaps disasterous. l

As I said I'd only allow it for an advanced TARDIS in the game (which already allows GM approval even to take) or for a story/campaign plot. This is more wondering could it be possible in the shows lore. The master did park a TARDIS inside another TARDIS but I don't think that's the same thing. That is more TARDIS A inside TARDIS B while time and space is TARDIS A inside TARDIS A an important difference. Its also a similar situation in spyfall where the Doctor lands his TARDIS inside the masters (without realizing it was a TARDIS) and I think there's been other incidents of TARDIS's inside each other with minimal issue. Unless your overlapping the two as in this episode, the one where the Doctor and the Master both tried impersonating the same police box at the same time or the numerous overlaps of the Doctors when he takes safeguards offline and crashes into himself that issuses occured. As best I can tell having one TARDIS inside another is not that big a deal as its essentially a finite real world interface inside a larger pocket dimension. The issues occurs in situations like this where its more of a Klein bottle type deal where the inside is also the outside or multiple outsides are linked as best I could follow the explanations.
If any of us are an expert in temporal engineering then I have many questions and requests for them
