Hello everyone!
I've read the entries from the 7th Doctor sourcebook thoroughly and checked the relevant tardis.wikia page but cannot find a clear answer to the following question:
Can Haemovores be killed/destroyed by fire?

To the best of my memory, it's never be depicted or mentioned either way. My instinct is yes, fire will kill them. But I think it's open to you to decide for your campaign.

I guess that's the way to go Anyway, thanks for confirming that, indeed, the case was never depicted or mentioned anywhere.

I suppose if you needed an in-game reason as to why Haemovores might be vulnerable to fire, you could always suggest that it is not so much the flames which are lethal to them but rather what they symbolise. Taking into account how fire has been used in the past (such as the Witch Trials and the like) to supposedly purge and rid society of evil. Just another form of faith at the end of the day.

Mmmh... an interesting angle. Thanks!

I agree with misterharry and grinch. Both from the 'practical' viewpoint, where fire kills most creatures and the Haemovores are describes as aquatic and hunting in mist and fog, and 'conceptual' viewpoint where they're vampire analogues and seem to have similar weaknesses.
So stock up on DM34s, phosphorous grenades, FLASH launchers and T1M1 flamethrowers...

So stock up on DM34s, phosphorous grenades, FLASH launchers and T1M1 flamethrowers... Yup. The fun thing is that the episode I'm working on takes place in 1826, with no possibility of travelling in time (Lady Penelope is stranded, TARDIS-less). But I found my ideal solution / ultimate weapon : a unique, "alchemical" fire born in the Eternal Flame of Karn... because (a) since her fourth incarnation, Penelope happens to carry some of this "inner sacred fire" in her veins / morphic field / inner being... and (b) among the stuff she was carrying when she was sent back in time by a Weeping Angel (hence the absence of the TARDIS and its precious resources and possibilities) is a small phial of Karn's Elixir. These should provide all the ingredients I need for a great pyrotechnic and dramatic scene! (And no, Penelope's player does not read this forum so I can "spoil away" freely ) Thanks a lot for your advice and comments!
