Does anyone fancy a sourcebook on the Daleks? Presenting The Dalek Empire Sourcebook; 250 fully-indexed pages of Dalek goodness for the Doctor Who Roleplaying Game, featuring a complete Dalek history (incorporating everything from TV, give-a-show projectors, sweet cigarette cards, ice-lolly cards, novelizations, novels, comics and audios), stats for every kind of Dalek I could think of, stats for the enemies of the Daleks, Dalek technology and spacecraft, suggestions on running Dalek-centric campaigns and adventure seeds.
Downloadable as a PDF from here, in both high and low-res format.
Feedback welcomed!
Note: Now revised to include the Recon Dalek from Resolution.

Marvellous work. Looks to be the definitive sourcebook when it comes to the Daleks.

This is a great sourcebook! I love the inclusion of such obscure versions as the Marsh Daleks and the Hayakawa Daleks - brilliant!

I agree with everyone else here. Thank you for the lovely sourcebook. The stats for the Dalek Time Controller & Psychic Daleks, the Chainsword and the advice for using the Daleks in game will be of particular use for my nefarious purposes

Credit where it’s due, the stats for the Dalek Time Controller were based on those written by MisterHarry, and the chainsword stats came from The Black Archive Sourcebook. The concept of the Psi Dalek came from MisterHarry 😀

Great work! I'm actually going to run a Time War campaign in the near-future, so this is extremely helpful! My hat is tipped to you, fine sir! I think I have what I need to craft a well-written Time War campaign now.

This is excellent! Thank you so much. (Any chance of Cybermen & Sontaran sourcebooks? Cheeky of me I know)

I'm so glad you guys are enjoying the book I must say that I really couldn't have tackled this project without the inspiration provided by the Extracanonical Doctor sourcebooks, and the many excellent write-ups contributed to this forum (quite a few of which I shamelessly plundered and then tweaked for the book). My only regret is that it doesn't share the "trade-dress" of the rest of the sourcebooks, but my resources and skills in that department are limited and so I decided to make it look entirely different! I have been giving some thought to a follow-up sourcebook on either the Cybermen or the Sontarans. I'll probably do the Cybermen first (once I've wrapped my head around their timeline!). I have thought about an "Extracanonical Gallifrey" sourcebook, but there's so much material out there to sift through that I'm finding it a bit intimidating. Regardless, thank you for the kind words. They really are appreciated.

I also second a Sontaran/Rutan book (as FASAs never got past the advertising stage)

Well, as I’ll shortly be having another period of under-employment and will need something to stop my marbles from rolling all over the place, I’ll be starting work on the Cybermen book in March. I’ll also be posting an updated version of the Dalek book soon.
Wish me luck!

I'll probably do the Cybermen first (once I've wrapped my head around their timeline!). I still like the timeline set out in David Banks' Cybermen - but I imagine you're already aware of that. I don't know if anyone has tried to update it for the new series Cybermen, so you may be breaking new ground!

I don't know if anyone has tried to update it for the new series Cybermen, so you may be breaking new ground! Me too. I think I’ve worked out how to integrate the additional origins of the various Cyber Factions in a way that makes sense. We’ll see how successful I’ve been once I’ve got the whole thing written out. I’m trying to avoid relying on causal fallout from the Time War as a continuity band-aid too much 😀

Just an update on this - I *was* ready to publish a second edition (including corrections for the silly errors I made), and then the announcements for the Time Lord Victorious and Dalek Universe series from Big Finish came out. So, I'll be doing a "1.5" update to correct errors and tidy up, then a full 2nd Edition update once TLV is complete.
Sadly, the Cyber Codex has been put on hold due to paying work, but I'm hoping to get back to that before the year's end.

Take all the time you need, very excited to see any new projects from you. The Daleks have always been my favourite of the Doctor Who monsters and a focus of mine since childhood, so to see them covered in such lavish detail and with every variant given its dues, it's simply incredible! I myself am wondering if I could come up with something involving the Hayakawa Daleks :3c
Can't wait for the updates to this! And perhaps the Cyber Codex will get me up to speed on Cyberman lore!

Hello, new to the forums, I was just wondering if there will be stats for the Mentor in this update? Her stats were absent from the previous version of the book and since I haven't listened to the Dalek War, I don't know if reskinning Davros and removing certain traits is the correct thing to do in that regard.
Also I don't mean to go off topic, but will there be info on the Cyber-bombs in the Cyber Codex? For some reason they've been absent from Cubicle 7's main sourcebooks and the only thing close to it is reskinning the Desolator (aka Planetary Bomb) from the Eleventh Doctor Sourcebook.

The Cyber-bombs are mentioned in the 4th Doctor Sourcebook (wrt to Voga) and briefly referred to in the 5th Doctor SourcebooK (Earthshock but not The Five Doctors) but there are no stats. The FASA game (especially the Cybermen supplement) had more details on several models, which I can dig out if you're interested, on several models but in AITAS the bombs are more plot devices than anything else. The series was not consistent in describing them either; the three backpack bombs were together supposed to be able to fragment the planetoid (suggesting a matter conversion or gravity modification device) but one bomb seemed barely more powerful than a similar mass of chemical explosive.
Hope this helps.

Hope this helps.I was able to find a PDF of the FASA's Cybermen supplement online and one of the three core books for the FASA game gives a more in-depth explanation on how the Cyber-bomb works. But thanks for the offer and the three models of the Cyber-bomb are pretty cool, if the Cyber-bomb is mentioned in the Codex, I do hope they manage to revive and give them stats for use in AITAS. I have to re-read the Dalek Empire Sourcebook, but I think author directly mentions the FASA game in one part of the book as well as referencing it at certain points.
