Specifically the cover with Capaldi on the front of it.
Is there any real difference between these two books? Don't want to have to buy the new one if I don't have to.
Thanks,
Caffinated D

In terms of rules, nothing significant. The main differences between the two are the pregen characters and the aliens section - as you'd expect, the 12th Doctor edition focuses more on the characters and monsters of his first series. Other than that, it's just different branding and pictures.

If it helps any for frame of reference or peace of mind, my GM has the old 10th Doctor boxed set, and I have the Anniversary rulebook. The only difficulty is when another player asks "What page is that rule on?" and we're looking up different page listings. The same could be said for any version of the rules.
Sometimes you get a few minor tweaks in terms of one or two abilities that may be here in a later edition, but not in the earliest rulebook, but nothing that merits buying a whole new book if you're happy with what you have on your shelf.
