Revisiting Old Faces in New Incarnations?

Tom Baker's Caretaker (a future 'retired' Doctor) in the Day of the Doctor remarked that the Doctor might 'revisit a few old faces'.

In the context of the game this is an interesting concept as an option for players.

The most compelling argument for this is the uncanny resemblance Sean Pertwee has with his father Jon. Someone on reddit superimposed his father's hair and clothing over a shot from Gotham.

It allows the series continuity to plant the seed of plausibility if they want to cast someone of a certain facial similarity or relationship to a previous actor.
Indeed, if somehow the Doctor 'degenerates' to a former actor, or they cast Sean Pertwee himself, they have it covered.

I always thought they should consider some former Doctors to turn up for the "Doctor-lite" episodes.
