Since the Primeval RPG seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet I've had a difficult time trying to find exactly what these traits do. Even though it might be obvious I was wondering where I could find information on the exact mechanics of the traits? are they in the Rocket Age books as well or are they solely in the Primeval books? It's just a bit annoying when these traits are used all the time in the Expanded Universe Sourcebooks. I still love those books but first world problems and all that :/

So far as I can recall, Authority and Wealthy have so far only appeared in the Primeval RPG. They're the two Primeval traits that I've used the most in the expanded universe sourcebooks, and to be honest I hadn't anticipated Primeval disappearing quite so soon - I think it was still a new game when the sourcebooks project started. Now that Primeval has gone, I must remember to include a brief explanation of these two traits in a future sourcebook.
In the meantime, here's a quick summary:
AUTHORITY [Minor/Major Good Trait]
As a Minor trait, a character with Authority is a police officer, important public official, corporate executive or has a similar position that allows them to order people around in limited circumstances.
As a Major trait, a character has political influence in all sorts of areas. They can pick up the phone and be put through to the Prime Minister, for example, but they may need to spend a Story Point or two if they try to push the limits of their authority.
WEALTHY [Minor/Major Good Trait]
The Minor version means a character is comfortably wealthy. They have a nice house, expensive car and so on, and the usual day-to-day living expenses aren't a problem.
A character with the Major version is stinking rich. They don't have to worry about money and can buy rare and valuable items without denting the bank account. They can spend Story Points to throw huge bribes around.

Thank you very much misterharry, you're a star Shame about Primeval though. It wouldn't be a bad idea to put these in somewhere as they've appeared constantly throughout the expanded universe sourcebooks. I ask now because I wanted to convert a load of traits from GURPS into ones for AITAS/Doctor Who RPG and Authority and Wealth already exist in the vortex system.

I didn't know C7 had discontinued the Primeval line. What a shame. Still, we have a truckload of new Traits. I'd like to see a Vortex System Core Book.

I would love to see a Vortex core rulebook - I miss Primeval alot. My current campaign is set in an alternate reality were both Primeval & Dr Who exist side by side.

Honestly, that's probably why Rocket Age exists. We already had Space 1889 for roughly the same setting, but it's a vehicle to keep the core game alive if C7 ever loses the Doctor Who license
