With multiple versions of the base game, source books for all but the newest Doctor, adventure books, creature books, the odd dinosaur/Silurian/spaceship hybrid book, the upcoming Posternast Gang book, new creature book, custom dice, and GMs guide, what more is there to cover?
How many more books can C7 come up with for the DWRPG line before running out of steam or "jumping the shark"?
What is the future for DWRPG?
One way I can see to a bright future for the line is the one licence they need to obtain that would be a perfect extension of the line.
TORCHWOOD

I'd like to see a compilation book going into detail on how to combine the various different sourcebooks e.g. spaceship + TARDIS + UNIT HQ.

While Torchwood would be nice, I think it's unlikely as it would require a separate licence. But you never know. Nevertheless, I think there's still plenty of scope for new releases.
Paternoster Investigations includes mention of the Gamemaster's Companion, so that is presumably back on the table as a future release. I also think a Player's Companion would be useful, providing advice on creating and playing interesting characters, particularly ones which aren't Time Lords.
I would have thought it's more than likely we'll get a 12th Doctor Sourcebook at some point, though probably not for a couple more years.
More books in the All the Strange, Strange Creatures series please - the more in-depth look at some of the series' races, so that they don't just become Monster of the Week. And following The Silurian Age, both the Daleks and Cybermen warrant similar sourcebooks to themselves. FASA managed it thirty years ago, and there's been so much more source material since then.
Similarly, more All of Time and Space collections please. I'd particularly like to see a longer campaign book containing a season of linked adventures, similar to what we got in the 8th Doctor Companion.
How about a guide to the alien worlds of the Whoniverse, a planetary gazetteer covering the better known planets like Gallifrey and Skaro, down to some of the worlds we've only seen once.
A book looking at the history of Earth, with suggestions for alien interventions at various points, historical celebrities, fixed points in time and potential alternative timelines if history is changed. Could be a single sourcebook dealing with the sweep of human history, or a series of volumes each dealing with a separate period - the Roman Empire, the Dark Ages, the Renaissance and so on.
And looking in the other direction, the future history of mankind - the Earth Empire, the Federation, the various Great and Bountiful Human Empires, right through to the end of the universe, with adventure ideas and suggestions for the GM.
These are just some of the things I'd like to see - I'm sure others have their own ideas.

Perhapse we could have an 'equipment' booķ, detailing typical items for different times - as well as articles on designing new equipment?

Could be a single sourcebook dealing with the sweep of human history, or a series of volumes each dealing with a separate period - the Roman Empire, the Dark Ages, the Renaissance and so on. Either of those would be interesting. Various alien worlds/settings (even if its just details one place like an arcology shops, accomodation, culture) or settitng scenarios in different periods of earths history. Maybe even a small TARDIS/Starship/Town design type book going into details on common entertainments, medical systems, disposal systems, etc. I know what your thinking why would we need a book like that? The answer because its not a "You need X sewage plants for X population" but a Medical Systems: TL 1 None, TL 5 hospitals bandages, TL 7 nanogenes, TL 10 biocellular rewinders. That is it doesn't go into details on how you'd lay out your TARDIS/starship for these things but rather lists options for the different TL and/or cultures. So rather than a list of modern sports you can look up you'd have popular sports for alien cultures and Tech levels like zero G motorbiking, oxygenated water ballet (they dance underwater that is so oxygenated they can breathe it), mist sculptures from Proxima Centuri and so on. Take that vehicle in new, new york we could get more details about its set up. Its a small self contained apartment with recycling food, perpetual power, communications systems well when do they become available what TL what revisions do higher TL's do to it?

I'd offer that with just those suggestions you've proved there is a lot more we can do with the line

While Torchwood would be nice, I think it's unlikely as it would require a separate licence. But you never know. Nevertheless, I think there's still plenty of scope for new releases. Agreed. There's also The Sara Jane Adventures and Class. I have no idea of their license status though.Paternoster Investigations includes mention of the Gamemaster's Companion, so that is presumably back on the table as a future release. I also think a Player's Companion would be useful, providing advice on creating and playing interesting characters, particularly ones which aren't Time Lords. Agreed. A collection of high-level campaign ideas (somewhat like the ones in the Primeval Companion.I would have thought it's more than likely we'll get a 12th Doctor Sourcebook at some point, though probably not for a couple more years. Presumably after Capaldi is replaced?More books in the All the Strange, Strange Creatures series please - the more in-depth look at some of the series' races, so that they don't just become Monster of the Week. And following The Silurian Age, both the Daleks and Cybermen warrant similar sourcebooks to themselves. FASA managed it thirty years ago, and there's been so much more source material since then. Absolutely, there were a few races in the classic era that could do with more detail/speculation, for example the Dominators. And what about relationships between the races? Have the Daleks/Cybermen/Draconians/Sontarans/Rutans et cetera fought wars between each other?
Similarly, more All of Time and Space collections please. I'd particularly like to see a longer campaign book containing a season of linked adventures, similar to what we got in the 8th Doctor Companion. Excellent idea. How about a guide to the alien worlds of the Whoniverse, a planetary gazetteer covering the better known planets like Gallifrey and Skaro, down to some of the worlds we've only seen once. Yep, are all planets in the Whoniverse (or at least the Nationverse) uniform of climate, landscape and inhabitants?A book looking at the history of Earth, with suggestions for alien interventions at various points, historical celebrities, fixed points in time and potential alternative timelines if history is changed. Could be a single sourcebook dealing with the sweep of human history, or a series of volumes each dealing with a separate period - the Roman Empire, the Dark Ages, the Renaissance and so on. A decent historical timeline/reference book (or series) is another good idea; an overall outline of history with interesting places and people. In the meantime I suggest GURPS Timeline and Who's Who. Maybe a few guidebooks to particular eras and places, in the vein of the (now defunct it seems) GURPS 'Hot Spots' series, which covered Renaissance Florence and Constantinople.
And looking in the other direction, the future history of mankind - the Earth Empire, the Federation, the various Great and Bountiful Human Empires, right through to the end of the universe, with adventure ideas and suggestions for the GM. That'd be interesting, though difficult given the mess of contradictory future history given over the years.

If your worried about contradictions use the alternate timelines we've seen in a number of episodes like inferno. That also opens up alternate earth campaigns such as one where Britain won the war with American and kept it as a colony or Hitler didn't go mad and actual stopped german expansion at the point where he could build up and strengthen it this far and no further in truth resulting in the superpowers of that world being America and a Nazi Europe. Then you slide into the future and present various different future timelines in universe A you have the various bountiful human empires, in universe B the time lords wiped out humanity because they didn't play nice with their utopia, in universe C you have a timeline where the human empires stagnated as a result of alien intervention while over in universe X various alien genetic contamination (like in the book eye of the giant) created a world from WWI or WWII onwards with real superheroes (most of the usual power range superstrength, super speed, flight, telepathy, energy blasts are possible with existing rules as various creatures have them).

While all of these are great suggestions, doesn't the liciencing agreement limit what C7 can produce to only what the TV show covers?
That kinda kills any material concerning alternative universes or books covering/expanding one shot villians like The Dominators..

Well that's the thing there's "You can only produce TV show content" and then there's "You can't produce Torchwood/Virgin New Adeventures/Big Finish content". Its an important distinction and honestly I don't know which side of the fence their on. However there's room in the second that's not their in the first one. If they're limited to only the TV content then they are obviously restricted on what they can produce. On the other hand if they're only limited to not producing contnet covered under licences there's a lot more wiggle room as they can produce their on ideas e.g. come up with sample alternate universe ideas. Even with the TV series we've seen several possible alternate universes or time periods they could give more information on.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, I'm already quite amazed by the quality (and quantity) of what C7 has already published - between the various thematic supplements and the Doctor sourcebooks, we've already got an impressive wealth of material to draw upon... and their latest releases, The Silurian Age and Paternoster Investigations (which I haven't finished reading) show a very interesting and original approach to the structure of their game-line, one that is set firmly away from the usual "let's do another splatbook" that's all too common in commercial (and especially licensed) RPGs. What I find extremely impressive in the C7 products is the way they make sure that each of their books will include interesting stuff from different angles - even the Doctor sourcebooks masterfully avoided this "one trick pony" pitfall. Just take a look, for instance, at the Eighth Doctor book (or at the Sixth Doctor one, which makes a fascinating read even if the 6th Doctor tenure happens to be your least favorite era of the show)...

I really don't have any concerns for the future of the DWRPG. I was able to come up with my list of suggestions with just 10 minutes thought - at a rate of 3-4 releases per year, they'd take us to the end of 2018. I'm sure Cubicle 7 have many more (and probably better) things in the pipeline after several years of developing ideas.

Cubicle 7's output has been, in a word, fantastic, and with several recent releases labeled as "Volume 1," they show no signs of slowing down. As long as they're producing content for the Doctor Who Roleplaying Game, I'll be buying.

While I'm sure C7 has a rack of ideas, they are interested in knowing what people want to see for the line. (We did Paternoster a while ago, but I was certainly very glad to see someone list 'a victorian book' when having this sort of conversation a while ago. It reminds us we're on the right track)
