As posted on the Cubicle 7 website: All the Strange, Strange Creatures - Pre-Order Now!‘There's a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you!’Available for pre-order now, with free PDF: All the Strange, Strange Creatures Volume I for The Doctor Who Roleplaying Game. Alternatively, grab just the PDF here. Or materialise at your local store, and if they participate in the Bits and Mortar program (and why wouldn't they?), you can get the PDF today with a pre-order. All the Strange, Strange Creatures Volume I is a gorgeous 160 page, full colour hardback, packed full of images from the show, monster stats and info, as well as countless hints and tips on how to make the most of the Doctor's adversaries in your games. For much of our history humans have gazed up at the stars and asked the question: are we alone in the universe? The answer, of course, is no! The galaxy is teeming with life. Aliens populate every corner of the universe, and many have visited our humble little planet. All the Strange, Strange Creatures is aliens. Aliens the Doctor has encountered on his adventures. Aliens he has not yet met. Aliens he hopes to never meet again. This supplement provides the Gamemaster with the details of just some of the alien races that the Doctor has encountered, from Daleks and Cybermen to the Vashta Nerada and the Skovox Blitzer. As well as providing rules and background for each of the aliens included, this supplement also gets beneath the skin of each of them. What makes them tick? What do they do? How do you use them in your adventures? What sort of stories do they appear in? What else might you do with them? And how do you go about making up your own aliens?

This is a good book, and a great replacement for the out-of-print Aliens and Monsters. I particularly appreciate the fact that they've given us far more than simple stats for each and every alien, including sections on motives, using them in game, and adventure seeds. This is going to come in handy, particularly considering the fact that I prefer to use pre-existing alien races in my adventures.

Looks like it's lost the section on creating star systems, which was my favorite part of Aliens and Creatures.

Looks like it's lost the section on creating star systems, which was my favorite part of Aliens and Creatures.Yeah, maybe they're saving that for volume 2? I was a little disappointed to find that the Creating Your Own Aliens section appears to be a direct cut and paste of the text from Creatures Of Metal, Fire and Blood - I didn't even spot any new traits (although I might have missed one, and the race packages are definitely different). I guess Aliens and Creatures is out of print, and not everyone has the original boxed set, but an update would have been nice. That said, I'm extremely happy with the first half of the book - take Axos for example - this is greatly expanded compared to the brief write-up in the Third Doctor Sourcebook, covering Axos as an organic vessel and a new stat block for the Axon Warform (Blobs in the Third Doctor book). Axonite, as a molecule, has additional detail. Added to this, we have sections that cover using Axos in your game, detailing motives and agendas and offering a list of adventure seeds that the GM can build upon. For anyone who doesn't own Aliens and Creatures, I'd say this book is a must buy. To be honest, even for those of us who do, there is plenty in there to recommend it - flip open a random page, choose an adventure seed, read the game guidance and you have a few sessions ready to go!

I guess it is inevitable but I really like the aliens and creatures box set. I was over the moon with official star ship rules in Silurian Age and ,of course, I will buy this book too.

Looks like it's lost the section on creating star systems, which was my favorite part of Aliens and Creatures. If you're looking for something like that I strongly recommend Mark Peoples's Cosmos II. It was written for the Alternity system and is very details and scientifically accurate. Download link. [1.2MB PDF; 57 pages] Free for personal use.
I have a bunch of other tools to automatically generate star systems and planets. I'll dig them out and post them.
ETA: I've stuck them in a dedicated thread.

Afraid not. But given that the pre-order announcement was back at the beginning of July, I'd guess it can't be too far off now.

This one for Time Traveller's Companion is especially good. Kurt is quite happy with it, to say the least.

This one for Time Traveller's Companion is especially good. Kurt is quite happy with it, to say the least. There is also a review of the 10th Doctor Box Set on this channel, just to mentioned. I like his reviews. ^^ Well, I already have the "old" Alien and Creatures book. So I'm not sure how this would be differ from the new All the Strange, Strange Creatures Volume I.
