The collection comprises more than 680,00 images, digitised video, manuscripts and more. Everything from sheet music to menus, maps to pictures of weird trees. There are some fascinating uses of the material. Here is a 'mansion explorer' which allows a pac-man like sprite to wander a turn-of-the-century apartment house (the plans are here and could be useful for a scenario set in the period). Here is an overlay for Google Street View comparing Ffith Avenue in New York in 1911 and 2015 (perfect for a time rift). Here is a trip planner for New York state using the 1936 'Green Book' guide. Fascinating stuff.
Time, time, time, see what’s become of me. While I looked around for my possibilities... My AITAS files.
