I was helping the player who's going to be the Time Lord in my game make his character and his TARDIS and he decided to take an Ancient model TARDIS. When I told him what the model numbers were, he decided his was going to be a Model 1. As we finished up it's sheet, I thought "What if, unbeknownst to him, it wasn't just ANY Model 1 TARDIS that he's stolen, but THE Model 1; the very first TARDIS ever created: RASSILON'S TARDIS!!!"
I've been trying to come up with some special features of Rassilon's TARDIS, but apart from being more difficult to control than normal and maybe time-scooping people when they leave (It's still collecting warriors for the Games.), have been trying to think of other unique things about this particular one. Searching for input on this.

The Bigger on the Inside blog has some wonderful ideas for prototype TARDISes. (In fact, the blog's just bursting with ideas in general.) See the text on the Forbidden TARDIS, introduced during the "The Fall of Gallifrey" story and discussed in greater detail here. As soon as I read your post, I thought of the Forbidden TARDIS.

Thanks. If nothing else, the Silurian idea gives me thoughts for something to put into the next adventure that I still have in the rough ideas stage: "The Good, The Bad, and The Rani."

I'd imagine that Rassilon's TARDIS would have systems relevant to his war on the abominations of the Dark Times (the Great Vampires, the Racnos, the Carrionites, etc). It may still be on a war footing to locate any such creatures and take its crew to them so they can wipe them out. It would almost certainly have systems keyed to detecting them if any genetic trace of them was within range of its sensors.
It might also have in its data banks the coordinates and key codes for many of the Time Lord weapons created during the Dark Times and hidden in strategic locations around the universe. There might even be one or two examples on board, secreted away in the unexplored depths of the TARDIS. Now, this might sound like you're giving the players access to apocalyptic weapons. But most of these are more trouble than they're worth. Many are sentient, to a lesser of greater extent, and may have gone senile or insane over the intervening eons. For example, an N-form that can't distinguish an ally from an enemy might try to destroy everything it encounters if it were reactivated.
Finally, perhaps there are hidden cells secreted away in extra-dimensional voids in the TARDIS. Could some of these still be occupied?

The rare and dangerous artifacts idea is certainly a good one. And yes, anything they find would likely be more trouble than it's worth.
The searching for traces of enemies of the Time Lords from the dark times also has a lot of potential.

I'd also suspect that Rassilon would have left a few booby traps in his TARDIS in case it fell into the wrong hands, most likely temporal stasis fields or similar. The new owners had better be careful which buttons they press or rooms they enter...

The new owners had better be careful which buttons they press or rooms they enter... Yeah, was thinking of the occasional "The TARDIS is trying to get back to Rassilon" story. He also took the Wanted trait, haven't decided if the one after him is Rassilon himself or maybe the Time Lord museum curators. (A simple Type 40 goes missing, eh, who cares? RASSILON'S Capsule, though...)

From my TARDIS Tech Index... PROTO-TYPE 0 TIME TRAVEL CAPSULE Less then a year after re-starting the Time Program led by Omega, technicians began designing the first Proto-Time Travel Capsule. While these Type 0 Proto-Time Travel Capsules would still be powered by Tarranium they no longer use matter for their shells. Instead they were composed of almost pure forced-matter calculations. These were the equations of pure movement, and thus they were essence of transport. They were Dimensionally Immanent (ie smaller on the inside then the outside), and could only hold 3-4 people in any sort of comfort. Their interior resembled the interior of the “Cushing Film’s” Tardis. At the same time, Rassilon finished designing the Gallifrey based power mast that would receive the power from Qqaba. While Omega and Vandekirian were lost, the Qqaba mission was a success. Rassilon created the Universe’s first Black Hole. And the anointing of time energy created the first Lords of Time . When completed the Proto-Type 0 TT Capsules required Taranium for power, but once Qqaba had been turned into Omega’s Black Star, the capsules recieve their power collected from that detonation via Artron Energy broadcast though the Vortex by Gallifrey’s Power Mast.
Rassilon entered the Black Hole to seize its nucleus using his personal Type 0 Model B TT Capsule of Rassilon himself. The capsule was capable of this feat only because one of the green crystals of its Dynamorphic Projector was exceptionally large and powerful. This crystal, known as the Star of Rassilon. The capsule, and the Star, was lost when one of Rassilon’s cousins performed a miss-jump while traveling to the planet Radirr. The Star was later recovered for a short time by the Master who planned to used it to safely violate the Laws of Time.
Notes * Based on Gallifreyan tachyonics. * Composed of almost pure forced-matter calculations and movement equations . * Powered by Tarranium until Omega’s Black Star was detonated. * Dimensionally Immanent * Used Old High Gallifreyan for their programming code. * By decree of Rassilon this and all future TT Capsules would carry a Psycho-Telmeter to track vampires based only on a blood sample. * The first to have circuits that allowed the Ring of Rassilon to remotely override the commands of the operator. By tradition, these circuits will be installed on all future Capsules. * First TT Capsule to have Banshee Circuits * Used to create the Web of Time and the Eye of Harmony

And...
TYPE 1 TARDIS The Scientific Elders (including the pioneers Rassilon and the Other) designed and built the Type 1 Time Travel Capsule in a Solar Workshop. Rassilon used Warp Matrix Engineering to design the Protyon Units for what would become the first sentient matrix. Though some of the tools used were simple spanners, the process used to create a TARDIS is one of the greatest secrets of the Time Lords. There are rumors that the Matrix retro-actively created the Time Lords just so that all Timeships could have a defined moment of creation. Otherwise every TARDIS would exist without ever having a point origin.
The Other’s granddaughter, who was only a child at the time, found the phrase ‘TT Capsule’ to be too hard to say. So she gave the new timeship the name TARDIS. ‘Tardis’ was a word that meant ‘timeship’ in Old High Gallifreyan, but it is also an acronym that stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space. Her habit of re-naming things would persist, and she would later change her own name from Lady Arkytior Larn to Susan Foreman.
Due to the Time Race and Eternal Wars, the Time Lords of this era were much more paranoid then later generations. All of the early TARDISes had several defense mechanisms. Among them was a temporal stasis field that uses a spare dimensional stasis field to "freeze" any intruder whose bio-rhythms are unauthorized. The field can only be deactivated from the Control Console.
* First to be called a TARDIS * First to be constructed using trans-dimensional Warp Matrix Engineering * First with Protyon Core * Has a box shaped exterior * Composed of almost pure forced-matter calculations and movement equations. * Dimensionally Immanent (capacity for only 3 or 4 crewmembers) * First to rely entirely on power broadcast from the Prime Eye of Harmony. * First to have a Rassilon Imprimiture that allows a symbiotically bonded Time Lord full access to the Power of Creation. * Huon based Space-Time Element * By decree of Rassilon this and all future TT Capsules would carry a Psycho-Telmeter to track vampires based only on a blood sample. * Circuits that allowed the Ring of Rassilon to remotely override the commands of the operator are traditionally installed on this and every future TARDIS. * Equipped with Banshee Circuits * First to have Temporal Stasis option and several other unique defenses.

Ah-ha! I found the gaming notes I drew up for Rassilon's Foundry TARDIS. Unlike the above information much of this is highly speculative.
RASSILON’S FOUNDRY TARDIS NOTE: the interior of this TARDIS resembled the interior of the Peter Cushing TARDIS from the FIRST Dr Who & the Daleks films by republic pictures.
THE FOUNDRY OF RASSILON Model: Proto-Type 0X Construction Date: Local Dateline -32 Crew: 1 Primary Power Source: Truncated divergent timeline Auxillary Power Source: 2 emms of taranium Max Power Output: 300 omegas Hull Composition: Forced-Matter Calculations Fabricators: Tachyonic Re-Creation Programming Code: Old High Gallifreyan Defenses: Ring of Rassilon isomorphic systems Temporal stasis field Temporal displacement
Notes: 32 years before the creation of the Eye of Harmony, Rassilon constructed his the Foundry to perform his research. Inside were solar workshops, tachyonic re-creation fabricators, and smelting works capable of forging forced-matter equations. Almost everyone of Rassilon's breakthroughs and artifacts are created here. It was Rassilon's work in the foundry that produced such things as the regeneration ability, imprimatur, D-Mat Gun, Sash of Rassilon, Validium, and much more. And it was here that his research notes, the Black Scrolls of Rassilon are kept. Rassilon's Foundry will eventually become his TARDIS.
Nine years later, Omega and the other elder technicians began designing the first Proto-Time Travel Capsule. These Type 0 Proto-Time Travel Capsules would initially be powered by Taranium but they no longer use matter for their shells. Instead they were composed of almost pure forced-matter calculations. These were the equations of pure movement, and thus they were essence of transport. This (and all future TT capsules) had circuits that allowed the Ring of Rassilon to remotely override the commands of the operator. It was also equipped with banshee circuits to protect itself and its crew, and a Psycho-Telmeter to track vampires through the Vortex. Unlike future capsules the Proto-Type 0’s were dimensionally immanent (i.e. smaller on the inside then the outside), and could only hold three to four people in any sort of comfort.
Unlike the other proto-types, one of the trachoid time crystals in the Foundry’s Dynamorphic Projector was exceptionally large and powerful. It vastly boosting the reality quotient stabilizing abilities of the Foundry. This green crystal, became known as the legendary Star of Rassilon and it was theorized that a TARDIS with this crystal could travel into Gallifrey's past despite the Back Time Field Buffers. When not in use, Rassilon will keep his Foundry in the wastelands of Gallifrey, hidden by temporally displacing it by a few seconds to keep it invisible and insubstantial. The Foundry also had defensive mechanisms that included temporal stasis field that could "freeze" any intruder with unauthorized bio-rhythms.
23 years after the death of Omega, Rassilon used his Foundry to enter the Black Star of Qqaba and seize its nucleus using Sash of Rassilon to protect the capsule. The Foundry was only capable of this feat only because it carried the Star of Rassilon in its Dynamorphic Projector. This nucleus was carried back to Gallifrey and become the Prime Eye of Harmony.
A year later the Foundry was one of 9 Type 0 and Type 1 TARDIS that were key to anchoring the web of time to they Eye of Harmony. While Rassilon remained with the rest of the High Council on Gallifrey, Rassilon’s cousin took foundry, and journey with the other TT capsules to the nine corners of the Universe. The positions of these capsules defined the extreme boundaries of what would become the noosphere of the Time Lords. This defined the broadcast limits of the Eye of Harmony setting the space/time range for these TARDISes. Rassilon continue to upgrade his Foundry. When the Time Lords discovered warp matrix engineering and Rassilon installed numerous dimensionally transcendental chambers inside his Foundry. Using these chambers he was able to store vast areas of space time. 140 years after the anchoring of the Eye, Rassilon discovered a supernova near the Kastorborus Sector. The Matrix predicted that this event would spawn a species capable of threatening the Time Lords. In response, Rassilon encased the nova in stasis and stored it in the Foundry. While other Proto-Type 0 TT Capsules used power from Omega’s Time Sun to be broadcast through the vortex, Rassilon’s Foundry relied on one of these truncated universes held in stasis as a power source.
About one thousand years after the Eternal Wars begin, during the Time of Chaos the Commitee of Three tried to politically destroy Rassilon by breaking into his Foundry. They were hoping to under covering a major scandal but the Committee of Three is killed when one of them accidentally open the gateway to the Divergence Universe and they area is sterilized by the Foundry’s defensive mechanisms.
According to official records, one of Rassilon's relatives was using the TARDIS when it miss-jump into solid rock on the planet Radirr. The TARDIS was destroyed and the Star of Rassilon was presumed destroyed as well. The Star was later recovered and stolen by a renegade Time Lord known as the Master who tried to use it in a failed attempt to violate the Laws of Time. CIA reports indicate the Star is still in the Master’s possession.
